<br />AWARD BID — TWO (2) MORE OR LESS 2016 OR NEWER- TANDEM AXLE DUMP
<br />TRUCKS (SEWER AND WATER WORKS CAPITAL)
<br />Mr. Jeff Hudak, Central Services, advised the Board that on February 9, 2016, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced trucks. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Hudak
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Truck Centers, Inc., d/b/a Hill Truck Sales, 1011 W. Sample St., South Bend, Indiana, in the
<br />amount of one (1) at $177,777 for the base bid plus alternates 3 and 4, and one (1) at $201,540
<br />for the base bid plus all alternates for a total award of $379,317. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a —
<br />motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr.
<br />Relos seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD BID — FIVE (5), MORE OR LESS, 2016 OR NEWER, MID -SIZE FOUR -DOOR
<br />HYBRID SEDANS (WATER WORKS, WASTE WATER. AND FIRE DEPT. CAPITAL)
<br />Mr. Jeff Hudak, Central Services, advised the Board that on March 8, 2016. bids were received
<br />and opened for the above referenced vehicles. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Hudak
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Jordan Motors, Inc., 609 E. Jefferson Blvd., Mishawaka, Indiana in the amount of $23,334 for a
<br />total award of 5140,004 for six (6) sedans. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Rules seconded the
<br />motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD BID — ONE (1) OR MORE, 2016 OR NEWER, I/n TON FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE
<br />PICK-UP TRUCK WITH UTILITY BED (SUBJECT TO SOLID WASTE CAPITAL LEASE
<br />FUNDING)
<br />Mr. Jeff Hudak, Central Services, advised the Board that on March 8, 2016, bids were received
<br />and opened for the above referenced vehicle. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Hudak
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Gates Chevrolet, 636 W, McKinley Ave., Mishawaka, Indiana, in the amount of $51,351 for the
<br />base bid plus all alternates. Therefore, Mr. Relos made a motion that the recommendation be
<br />accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Maradik seconded the motion, which
<br />carried.

<br />CAPITAI. T.F,ASE FUNDING)
<br />Mr. Jeff Hudak, Central Services, advised the Board that on March 8, 2016, bids were received
<br />and opened for the above referenced equipment. Aftcr reviewing those bids, Mr. Hudak
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Truck Centers, Inc. d/b/a Hill Truck Sales, 1011 W. Sample St., South Bend, Indiana, in the
<br />amount of $149,892 with trade in. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Relos seconded the
<br />motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD BID — 2016-2017 WATER TREATMENT CHEMICALS (VARIOUS)
<br />Mr. George King, Finance and Administration, advised the Board that on March 22, 2016, bids
<br />were received and opened for the above referenced products. After reviewing those bids, Mr.
<br />King recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible
<br />bidders in unit prices: Alexander Chemical Corporation, 315 Fifth Street, Peru, Illinois 61354
<br />for Item 1 at $304.00 per ton; Item 2 at $36.00 per cylinder; Item 4 at $435 per ton; Item 5 at
<br />$3.52 per pound; Item 8 at $502.00 per ton; Item 10 at $1.974 per gallon; Item 11 at $0.74 per
<br />gallon; Hawkins, Inc., 2381 Rosegate, Roseville, Minnesota 55113 for Item 12 at $9.57 per —
<br />gallon and Item 13 at $9.99 per gallon; Morton Salt, Inc, 123 North Wacker Drive, Chicago,
<br />Illinois 60606 for Item 7 at $193.19 per ton; PVS Technologies, Inc., 10900 Harper Avenue,
<br />Detroit, Michigan 48213 for Item 3 at $0.79 per gallon; Polydyne, Inc., 1 Chemical Plant Road,
<br />Riceboro, Georgia 31.323 for Item 9 at $1.47 per pound; and Watcon, Inc., 3326 South Main
<br />Street, South Bend, Indiana 46613 for Item 6 at $1.39 per pound. Therefore, Mr. Relos made a
<br />motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Ms.
<br />Maradik seconded the motion, which tamed.
