REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 8. 1965 RESOLUTION NO. 123 -65 RESOLUTION FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS TO ACCOUNTS Q -221 and Q -222 OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $625.00 AND THE TRANSFER OF THE SAME FROM THE REPAIRS OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES ACCOUNT IN THE SAME CATEGORY, TO -WIT: SERVICES CONTRACTUAL, AND ALL IN THE GENERAL FUND. WHEREAS, Certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget, so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget for the various functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary contingencies; and WHEREAS, Additional services are urgently needed by the Fire Department to assure its ability to properly perform its function and the sum of $625.00 is needed forthwith; and WHEREAS, A surplus exists in another account where it is not presently needed at this time; and more specifically as follows, to -wit: 1. Six Hundred Twenty -Five Dollars ($625.00), Q -251 Services Contractual, Repairs of Buildings & Structures. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, That the sum of $625.00 be transferred from Account Q -251 designated as Services - Contractual, Repairs of Building & Structures, by transferring it to the following accounts, to -wit: A. Three Hundred Twenty -Five Dollars ($325.00) to Account Q -221, Designated as Services Contractual, Electric Current B. Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) to Account Q -222, designated as Services Contractual, Gas All of said accounts are within the same category, to -wit: Services Contractual of the Fire Department. /s/ Albert E. Councilman Wise seconded the motion. Motion carried. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of 8 ayes, 0 nays. RESOLUTION NO. 124 -65 RESOLUTION FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS TO ACCOUNTS H -214 AND H -221B, OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY IN THE AMOUNT OF $19500.00 AND THE TRANSFER OF THE SAME FROM THE ELECTRIC CURRENT ACCOUNT IN THE SAME CATEGORY, TO -WIT: SERVICES CONTRACTUAL, AND ALL IN THE GENERAL FUND. WHEREAS, Certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget, so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget for the various functions of City Government to meet such extraordinary contingencies; and WHEREAS, Additional services are urgently needed by the Board of Public Works and Safety to assure its ability to properly.perform its function and the sum of $1,500.00 is needed forthwith; and WHEREAS, A surplus exists in another account where it is not presently needed at this time; and more specifically as follows, to -wit: 1. One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00) H -221, Services - Contractual, Electric Current, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITi OF SOUTH BEND, That the sum of $1,500.00 be transferred from Account H -221 designated as Services - Contractual, Electric Current, by transferring ij to the following accounts, to -wit: A. One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) to Account H -214, designated as Services Contractual, Telephone and Telegraph B. Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) to Account H -221B, designated as Services Contractual, Electric Current - Buildings. All of said accounts are within the same category, to -wit: Services Contractual of the Office of the Board of Public Works and Safety. /s/ Richard G. Geib Member of the Common Council A Public Hearing was held on the above resolution at this time. Councilman Palmer made a motion that the resolution be passed by a roll call vote. Councilman Geib seconded the motion. Motion carried. Resolution adopted by a roll call 'vote of 8 ayes, 0 nays.
