REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />June 19, 1962 <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend, <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />The attached proposed ordinance originated by the City Planning Commission to zone "A" Residential Use and "A' Heigh <br />and Area District the recently annexed land being generally described as containing 13.2 acres fronting on the <br />west side of Ironwood Road and being 837 feet north of Inwood Road was legally advertised under date of May 28, 1962 <br />and given public hearing on June 14, 1962. The followong action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that the best use for the area in question would be residential. <br />It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that the petition be recommended favorably to t <br />Council. <br />Very truly yours, <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />/s/ Robert L. Kirby Sub. of Pt. B.O.L.,83, more <br />generally described as the east side of Cherry Street from the first lot south of Washington Street south to the <br />New York Central Railroad tracks plus one lot on the west side of Chestnut Street, was legally advertised under date <br />of May 28, 1962. The followong action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that the best zoning for the area in question would be residential. <br />It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that the petition be recommended favorably to the <br />Council.
