REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION

<br />Gentlemen:
<br />The attached proposed ordinance originated by the City Planning Commission to rezone from "C" Commercial Use and
<br />"E" Height and Area District to "B" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area District Lots Numbered 9, 10, and 11,
<br />Fowlers 1st Sub. of B.O.L. 85 and 86; Lots numbered 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30, Fowler's 2nd Sub. of B.O.L. 85 and 86;
<br />Lots Numbered 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, and 26, Knoblock Sub. of B.O.L. 84; more generally described
<br />as both sides of Walnut Street from the first east -west alley south of Washington Street, south to Napier Street,
<br />was legally advertised under date of May 28, 1962 and given public hearing on June 14, 1962. The following action
<br />was taken:
<br />After due consideration the Commission found that the best zoning for the area in question would be
<br />residential. It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that the petition be
<br />recommended favorably to the Council. It was further a sense of the meeting that as a reflection of
<br />the sentiments expressed at the hearing the ordinance be amended from the floor to read "A" Residential
<br />Use and "A" Height and Area District, the Commission being unable to amend from the advertised ordinance,
<br />thus requiring additional advertising and another public hearing.

<br />Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Ladewski seconded the
<br />motion. Motion carried.

<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS
<br />HERETOFORE AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED (1.4 acres on Lilac south of Darden)
<br />The Ordinance was, given first, reading by, title and second reading in full. Councilman Glass made a motion that the
<br />Ordinance be set for public hearing on July 9, 1962. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion lost by a
<br />negative voice vote. Councilman Krueper made a motion for' - suspension of rules. Councilman Ladewski seconded the
<br />motion. Motion carried.by a roll call vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, 1 ahsent (Councilman Coleman,) 1'not' voting (Council ii Lehman was
<br />the Ordinancevft giVm third reading and it was passed by a roll call vote of R ayes, 0 nays, 1 absent (Councilman ambe )m the

<br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Krueper made a motion for
<br />suspension of rules. Councilman Ladewski seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll callvote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, ,
