<br />b. Basis of Payment: The acceptable quantities of asphalt pavement removal will be
<br />measured on cubic yard (CYS) basis, complete in place.
<br />
<br />17. Item 17: Curb Replacement
<br />a. Description: This work shall consist of all labor, equipment, and materials
<br />necessary to complete curb replacement including saw cutting existing pavement
<br />and curb, excavation behind and beneath the curb, disposal of existing curb,
<br />subgrade preparation, installing curb forms, concrete, expansion joints, dowels,
<br />curing compound, and backfill.
<br />b. Basis of Payment: The acceptable quantities of curb replacement will be measured
<br />on a lineal foot (LF) basis, complete in place.

<br />18. Item 18: HMA Asphalt, Surface
<br />a. Description: This work shall consist of all labor, equipment, and materials
<br />necessary to complete HMA asphalt surface including asphalt, surface cleaning
<br />and preparation, placement, spreading, compaction, joints, and all appurtenances.
<br />b. Basis of Payment: The acceptable quantities of HMA asphalt surface will be
<br />measured on a ton basis, complete in place.

<br />a. Description: This work shall consist of all labor, equipment, and materials
<br />necessary to complete HMA asphalt intermediate including asphalt, surface
<br />cleaning and preparation, placement, spreading, compaction, joints, and all
<br />appurtenances.
<br />b. Basis of Payment: The acceptable quantities of HMA asphalt intermediate will be
<br />measured on a ton basis, complete in place.

<br />20. Item 20: HMA Asphalt, Base
<br />a. Description: This work shall consist of all labor, equipment, and materials
<br />necessary to complete HMA asphalt base including asphalt, surface cleaning and
<br />preparation, placement, spreading, compaction, joints, and all appurtenances.
<br />b. Basis of Payment: The acceptable quantities of HMA asphalt base will be
<br />measured on a ton basis, complete in place.

<br />21. Item 21: HMA Asphalt for Tack Coat
<br />a. Description: This work shall consist of all labor, equipment, and materials
<br />necessary to complete HMA asphalt tack coat including heating, application, s
<br />surface cleaning and preparation, placement, spreading, and all appurtenances.
<br />b. Basis of Payment: The acceptable quantities of HMA asphalt tack coat will be
<br />measured on square yard (SY) basis, complete in place.

<br />22. Item 22: Aggregate Base, No. 53
<br />a. Description: This work shall consist of all labor, equipment, and materials
<br />necessary to complete installation of aggregate base, no. 53 including aggregate,
<br />preparation of subgrade, compaction, placing aggregate in uniform lifts, and all
<br />appurtenances.
<br />b. Basis of Payment: The acceptable quantities of aggregate base, no. 53 will be
<br />measured on a ton basis, complete in place.
