The physical evidence observed at the property indicated the tree and tree <br />limbs impacts did not result in damage to the foundation, the <br />floor structures, the turret, the exterior walls of the house, the windows <br />and doors of the house, the east porch, the CMU at the southwest corner <br />in the attached garage, the lower half of the CMU west wall at the attached <br />garage, and the concrete slab of the garage. <br />4. In order to repair the damage to the building associated with the tree and <br />tree limbs impacta, we recommend the following repairs as part of a <br />reconstruction project: <br />a) Remove, replace or repair the fractured wood framing of the roof <br />structure at the second story: replace approximately 30 square <br />feet 1-inch in thickness decking, sister repair the hip rafter at the <br />southwest corner, 8 feet both sides, 2 inches by 6 inches, replace <br />2 each 2 inches by 4 inches rafters approximately 6 feet in length, <br />remove and replace approximately 1 square asphalt composition <br />shingles and underlayment, replace approximately 15 linear feet <br />of 1 inch by 6 inches fascia, replace approximately 20 square feet <br />of wood soffit panels, reset detached decorative wood cornice, <br />and paint affected surfaces of approximately 40 square feet. <br />b) Remove and replace the fractured section of roof decking first <br />story at west-facing roof slope: 20 square feet of 1-inch in <br />thickness deck boards, 300 square feet of underlayment, 3 <br />squares of asphalt composition shingles covering the west-facing <br />roof slope, and install 20 linear feet of 6 inches gutter and 1 <br />downspout. <br />c) Remove and replace the wood framing of the <br />roof structure; 40 each 2 inches by 6 inches rafter with 14 feet in <br />length at 16-inches on-center, 24 linear feet of 2 inches by 8 <br />inches ridge beam, 600 square feet of 1-inch in thickness <br />decking, 600 square feet of underlayment, 6 squares of asphalt <br />composition shingles, replace wood fascias and overhangs, and <br />install 24 linear feet of 6 inches gutter and 1 downspout. <br />d) Reconstruct the west CMU wall of the attached garage; replace <br />150 square feet of 8 inches in thickness hollow core CMU (upper <br />half of the wall), remove and reset two west-facing windows, and <br />paint the affected surfaces of the west wall 150 square feet. <br />e) Reconstruct the south CMU wall of the attached garage; replace <br />160 square feet of 8 inches in thickness hollow core CMU, <br />remove and reset south-facing window, replace 60 square feet of
