His responsibilities at Abonmarche include construction inspections, <br />progress meetings, pay estimates, schedule oversight, record keeping, <br />stakeholder communication, construction staking, utility as-builts, and <br />construction administration. <br /> <br />AREAS OF EXPERTISE: <br /> <br />CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION <br /> <br />La Porte Sidewalk Project - La Porte, IN. James performed the role of primary <br />construction inspector for this $420,000 sidewalk project over seeing all aspects of <br />the construction. The project included replacement of over 20 sidewalk ramps and <br />over 6,500’ of sidewalk. <br /> <br />Fir and Brick Roundabout - Granger, IN. James performed the role of primary <br />construction inspector for this $880,000 project over seeing all aspects of the <br />construction and overseeing other inspectors. This project included the construction <br />of a roundabout at the busy intersection of Fir Road and Brick Road in northern St. <br />Joseph County to alleviate traffic back ups from the previous 4 way stop <br />intersection. <br /> <br />Bremen Highway Added-Travel Lanes Project Mishawaka, IN. James performed the <br />role of primary construction inspector for this $3.5 million project over seeing all <br />aspects of the construction and overseeing other inspectors. <br /> <br />Mishawaka Sidewalk Replacement Project. JD was the Construction Technician for <br />this $360,000 CDBG funded project that replaced 2,600 lft of sidewalks in an aging <br />neighborhood in Mishawaka. The project also included removal and replacement <br />of twenty (20) sidewalk ramps to comply with ADA standards and included <br />removing trees that were determined to cause sidewalk upheaval. JD worked with <br />the City of Mishawaka engineering staff to determine the limits of construction and <br />worked to save existing residential retaining walls in order to minimize the project <br />costs while maximizing the amount of sidewalk that was replaced. JD also observed <br />construction operations, measured and tracked project quantities, reviewed, and <br />processed pay estimates, processed change orders, led progress meetings, and <br />prepared final construction records. <br /> <br />Wild Cherry Ridge Roadway Improvements - Mishawaka, IN. James performed the <br />role of primary construction inspector for this $600,000 project. <br /> <br />CR 17 Improvements - Elkhart County, IN. James performed the role of primary <br />construction inspector for this $800,000 project that included new roadway <br />construction , earthwork, and associated improvements. <br /> <br />Southwood Sewer Separation - South Bend, IN. James performed the role of primary <br />construction inspector for this $2.500,000 project that included new storm sewer and <br />drainage improvements, utility coordination, and new roadway, curb and <br />sidewalks. <br /> <br />Mishawaka Traffic Safety Plan & West Vestibule - Mishawaka, IN James performed <br />the role of primary construction inspector for this $3.2 million project over seeing all <br />aspects of the construction. This project included the construction of multiple new <br />parking lots, drop off area, new grand entrance into the school.
