WeDnesday <br />tember llth, 1907. <br />CONDE NATION RESOLUTION NO. 41. <br />Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />That the following described property be appropriated for the use of said city: <br />b A strip of ground 9 1/2 feet wide over and across the right of way of the <br />Indiana, Illinois & Iowa Railroad, operated by the Chicago, Indiana & Southern <br />Railroad. -To make Longley avenue conform as platted in Kauffman Place Addition <br />�to the Clty of South Bend, Indiana. <br />The following described property may be inljuriously or beneficially <br />(oaf Pected by such .appropriation: <br />"1 .f <br />ight of Way of Indiana, Illion&s & Iowa Railroad Co. <br />The purpose of such appropriation is to open Longlyavenue.across the Indiana, <br />Illinois & Iowa Railroad Co. <br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 12th day of September <br />and on the 19th day of September 1907, in the South Bend Daily Times. <br />This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 27th day of September 1907, <br />at 10 A. M. will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or <br />affected by these proceedings. <br />Adopted this llth, 1907. <br />BOARD OF PUDLIC WORKS. <br />CONDEMNATION RESOLUTION NO. 42. <br />Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That <br />the following described property be appropriated for the use of said city: <br />Begin on the northerly line of Terrace avenue, at the south easterly corner. <br />of lot 146 Portage Park Addition; thence east to a point in the north line of <br />Terrace avenue produced, which is 134 feet south of the south line of the Indiana, <br />Illinois & Iowa Railroad Co's. Right of Way; thence easterly parallel and 134 feet <br />south of said right of way to the St. Joseph River; thence south 60 feet.; thence <br />westerly parallel and 60 feet south.of the above described line to the north <br />easterly corner of lot 115 Portage Park addition. <br />The following described property may be injuriously or beneficially affected <br />by such appropriation: <br />Begin at the south easterly corner of lot 146 Portage Park addition; thence <br />- <br />f north westerly on easterly line of said lot to the southerly line of the right of way <br />of Indiana, Illinois & Iowa Railroad; thence easterly on said southerly line to a <br />1point which is�120 feet at right angles to Woodward avenue; thence south easterly <br />l0 parallel and 120 feet at right angles to Woodward avenue to the north easterly <br />U corner of lot 135 Portage Park: addition; thence westerly on the northerly line of <br />n said lot to the easterly line of Woodward avnue; thence north westerly on easterly <br />[yam line of Woodward avenue produced 60 a pointin northerly lineof Terrace avenue; thence <br />westerly on saiad northerly'line.to the place of beginning. <br />Portage Land Company, <br />Begin at a point in the southerly line of the right of way of the Indiana, <br />Illinois & Iowa Railroad, which point is 134 feet from the easterly line of Woodward <br />avenue measured at right angles, thence easterly on line of said railroad to the <br />St. Joesph River; thence southerly with said river'to a point 14 feet north of the <br />north line of lots 124 to 133 Portage Park addition produced east; -thence west to <br />a point 14 feet iiorth of the north west corner of lot 133 Portage Park addition; <br />thence north westerly on a line 134 feet from the parallel to Woodward avenue to the <br />place of beginning. <br />City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />The purpose of such appropriation is to open Terrace avenue from Woodward <br />avenue to the St. Joseph River. <br />Notice of this esolution shall be published on the 12th day of September and <br />on the 19th day of September 1907, in the South Bend Daily Times. <br />This Board at its office in the City Hall on the 27th day of September 1907, <br />at 10 A.
