SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION —IVY TOWER FACILITY RENOVATION PROMM' Proposal for Environmental Services In addition to our general qualifications, we believe that our experience on a number of specific projects is relevant to the project. These projects include the following: • AJW Distribution Center (South Bend, Indiana) — Weaver Boos was retained by the City of South Bend to complete a Phase I and II ESA and preliminary Geotechnical Exploration Program of a 90 -acre Brownfield (comprised of several land parcels owned by seven separate entities) to meet the requirements of a potential developer (AJW South Bend Realty Corporation, a subsidiary of the TJX Companies). During the project, we worked closely with the several existing Site owners in addition to other entities involved with the Project to meet the short time frame allowed for the completion of the project. After AJW South Bend Realty Corporation agreed to purchase the Brownfield and construct their proposed distribution center, Weaver Boos was retained by the City of South Bend to provide monitoring oversight and additional services associated with the redevelopment of the Brownfield. This oversight included the removal of several USTs, hydraulic lifts, drywells, and impacted soil all in accordance with state regulations and guidance. Weaver Boos has also been retained by both the City of South Bend and AJW South Bend Realty Corporation, who recently completed construction of the distribution center, to secure a Certificate of Completion (COC) from the VRP for the AJW Site. VRP work is ongoing but will include all element of the VRP Program. • Former Studebaker Stamping Plant, South Bend Lathe, and Underground Pipe and Valve Demolitions (South Bend, Indiana) — Weaver Boos was retained by the City of South Bend to complete environmental bid specifications and to provide environmental oversight during the demolition of a multi - building complex that formerly was used for automotive assembly and manufacturing. Additional tasks included the completion of a geophysical survey, limited building material characterization, and comprehensive soil and material sampling. • Salvation Army Kroc Community Center (South Bend, Indiana) — Weaver Boos was retained by the Salvation Army to provide environmental oversight services during the redevelopment of a former park, once occupied by a gasoline filling station and several dry cleaning facilities, into an athletic and recreational complex, Additional tasks included the removal of several USTs and buried debris. • Aldi Supermarkets (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan) —Weaver Boos is currently engaged in or has completed site assessment and development services (including environmental oversight during construction/demolition) allowing Aldi to develop new stores in Illinois, Weaver Boat Cansulla ws, L C South Hand, IN 46628
