SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION— IVY TOWER FACILITY RENOVATION PROTECT <br />Proposal for Environmental Services <br />3.4.2 Sub -Task 3B — Provide Observation Services Regarding the Removal of Point <br />Sources <br />Weaver Boos anticipates that as part of the renovation, several known and unknown point <br />sources of potential or existing contamination could be removed including contaminated soil, <br />buried waste, unknown USTs or cisterns, etc. Weaver Boos anticipates that observation services <br />will be required prior to and during the removal of these items. These services may include the <br />completion of paperwork such as IDEM UST registration/notifieation forms, the collection of <br />waste characterization samples, completing waste profile sheets, and obtaining the proper <br />removal, transportation, and disposal permits for previously unidentified sources. Weaver Boos <br />will be required to provide many of these services including assisting the contractor in <br />determining what measures need to be taken. Our services will also be directed towards <br />monitoring the actions of the contractor to assess that point sauces of contamination are being <br />appropriately managed in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as the <br />contract with the City. <br />Weaver Boos will provide this service at an hourly rate as indicated in Table 3. A general cost <br />estimate for the duration of the project (18 months) is also provided for informational purposes. <br />The City will not be charged for travel time. This task does not include any sampling or testing <br />of soil samples or waste streams. <br />3.5 Task 4 –Demolition Project Management <br />The following tasks describe the support services provided by Weaver Boos on an as- needed <br />basis prior to and during the renovationlabatement activities. Weaver Boos proposes to perform <br />the activities on a time and materials basis in accordance with our standard Fee Schedule <br />(Appendix E). <br />3.5.1 Sub -Task 4A – Project Management <br />Several meetings will occur between the City, Weaver Boos, and developer including, but not <br />limited to: <br />1. A kick -off meeting at the start of the project; <br />2. Project design review meetings; <br />3. Meetings with various City Departments and developer representatives to coordinate <br />aspects of the project; <br />Weaver Boos Consallana.
