SOUTH BEND RFDEVELOPMENF CONMSSION —IVY TOWER FACILITY RENOVATION PROJECT
Proposal for FnAronmentai Services
requirements such as disadvantage business hiring, a minima % of local hires for the prime
contractor, and prevailing wage, Financial issues addressed in the contract will include bonding
requirements, insurance requirements, payment terms, retainage, and liquidated damages.
3.4 Task 3 — Environmental Response Services
Weaver Boos proposes the following sub -tasks to provide environmental response services
during the course of the renovation:
3A. Provide 1- ):lour On -Call Site Consultation When Needed;
3B. Provide Observation Service Regarding the Removal of Point Sources,
3.4.1 Sub -Task 3A — Provide 1 -Haar On -Call Site Consultation When Needed
As abatement/renovation begins, Weaver Boos anticipates that there will be several occasions,
planned (project meetings, pre -bid meetings, preconstruction meetings, etc.) or otherwise, when
environmental consultation will be required with the City and/or developer. The Weaver Boos
Project Manager for environmental oversight proposes to be on on -call during the duration of the
project and will respond to either the contractor, the City representative, or developer
representative within approximately one hour.
Weaver Boos will provide each site consultation at an hourly rate as indicated in Table 3. The
City will not be charged for travel time. For estimation purposes, Weaver Boos assumes at a
minimum, five hours every week during environmental abatement and two hours every week for
building renovation will be devoted to providing on -call site consultation (excluding regular
scheduled project meetings) including subsequent project management issues. Weaver Boos has
been instructed that the entire renovation project, including preliminary planning and bid
solicitation, could be completed in two years. Assuming the contracted environmental abatement
takes approximately 6 months to complete and the remaining site renovation activities takes
approximately 12 months for completion, approximately 234 hours of effort will be required to
complete this task. For regularly scheduled consultations (project meetings, etc), we anticipate a
bi- weekly project meeting being held that will typically last 2 hours. Over a period of 18
months, approximately 72 hours of effort will be required to complete this task.
Weaver Boos Consultants, LLC 13
4085 Meghan Beeler Cow
South Fend, IN 46628
