SOUTH 13END REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AV Y TOWER FACILITY RENOVATfON PROIECF <br />Proposal for Environmental Services <br />The project has two major components: environmental characterization and environmental <br />abatement. Weaver Boos proposes to perform the work as four major tasks: <br />Task 1— Limited Site Characterization <br />Task 2 - Preparation of Environmental Abatement Specifications; <br />Task 3 — Environmental Response Service; <br />Task 4 — Project Management. <br />17re scope of work for each task is presented in Sections 3.1 through 3.5 below, respectively. <br />1.4 Summary of Qualifications <br />Weaver Boos, a Midwest engineering and environmental consulting firm, has the staff and <br />expertise to successfully complete the project for the City. Weaver Boos' staff is qualified and <br />locally positioned to provide the varied services requested in the City's RFP. The Weaver Boos <br />staff has provided services similar to those requested in the RFP to industrial clients in the <br />Midwest, and has conducted several environmental assessments for the City of South Bend. <br />Weaver Boos has an established track record of successfully completing complex, multi- faceted <br />projects. Our work is dominated by repeat clients and referrals, which we believe is testimony to <br />the consistent, quality of work that Weaver Boos provides. <br />One of the strengths of Weaver Boos is our understanding of the numerous regulatory programs <br />(VRP, LUST, RCRA, CERCLA, CWA, CAA, and Solid Waste) under which our work is <br />routinely performed. In addition to our technical expertise, Weaver Boos regularly works with <br />commercial and industrial developers, local governments, and the USEPA to develop <br />comprehensive, cost - effective environmental solutions. By selecting Weaver Boos, the City of <br />South Bend will be retaining a qualified and experienced firm that maintains a local presence, <br />and is well versed in the community benefits that can be achieved by the revitalization of <br />Brownfield properties. <br />The following proposal is presented in several sections, Section 2.0 describes our understanding <br />of the Site characteristics and our overall approach to the project. Section 3.0 outlines our <br />proposed technical scope of work. Section 4.0 presents our proposed project team. Section 5.0 <br />provides a brief corporate profile and a description of our relevant experience.
