7 January Researched Cutter lights for Randy Ray, NICH. Met with Chuck Bulot concerning the need for railings on the rear of the Highland Cemetery Gatehouse per building inspector_ (Gary Goddard?) for Brandon Bartow. Chuck said that they just needed to be hand rails along the steps and not on the landings of the rear stoops. Met with Sue Solmos and reviewed the presentation expectation for 19 January. Researched and developed file for photographs in the Office. The rest will need to be photographed. Information on trees and erosion issues to Mary Ellen O'Connell from the St. Joseph County Soil and Water Conservation District newsletter. 10 January . Followed up fax to Bartow Builders with scanned copy and e-mailed to Brandon Bartow. Photographed East Washington and EastJefferson, Erskine Place and Miami-Ridgedale areas for Industrialist Neighborhood's presentation. 11 January Attended Department Head meeting with New Avenues, an employee wellness resource in the County Commissioner's Conference Room. Made the information available to Elicia. Met with Commissioner Kovach on the Historic Court House Survey Questionnaire; he requested that I meet with John Embrickson and complete the documentation. Arranged meeting with John and began to re -organize the files on the 1855 and 1897 Court Houses for this meeting. Continued with research on the targeted homes in the Industrialist Neighborhoods presentations. 12 January Worked on files for the Court Houses and the research for the Industrialist Neighborhood presentations. Prepared Staff Report for January HPC meeting and organized materials for the Commissioners' meeting packets. Follow-up letter to Andy Girolami of Central High Apartments concerning conversation about window replacements in a landmarked structure. Met with Krista of Area Plan concerning the house at 5032 Miami rated notable in the Cit Survey that Farm Bureau wished to buy and demolish for their new Office. 13 January Took photographs of targeted locations in St. Casimir's Parish NR District for presentation. Re -organized photographs in the power point presentation on Industrialist Neighborhood and added notes. Met with John Embrickson on the Historic Court Houses Survey. Completed the two surveys. Phone conversation with Randy Whiteman of Art Works Sign request for information on historic signage at River View Cemetery. 14 January Turned in the signed surveys to the County Commissioners. Turned in the payroll. Completed Commissioners' packets for mailing. Worked with Commissioner Riley on Republican Newsletter for two republican commissioners. 17 January Office closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday 18 January Completed power point for Industrialist Neighborhoods. Attended the Convention and Visitors Bureau luncheon kick-off of their new logo and promotions. Will be working with Kelly Kimmich and sharing some Eastern Orthodox and Jewish resources for her tours. 3
