path to the carport. By doing this ramp we will need to add another
limestone step onto the front entry as well as a step from the new ramp
platform height to the side of the ramp. Per plan details we would also like
to install a new sidewalk section that comes from the front porch to the
perimeter sidewalk. We would like to use a stamped concrete that would
mimic the characteristics of the slate as well as color match the slate roof of
the building. If we care not allowed to do such, we would defer to using
standard concrete with a broomed finish texture to prevent slips. Please see
plan details. Please see attachment/label #6.
7.) Bartow Builders would also like permission to remove portions of the
wall at the entrance to the cemetery and re- install. We will be marking and
labeling the pieces so that the wall will go back to it's original design. The
wall appears to have been struck and hit on the east end of the wall but upon
further investigation we see that there is damage to the wall coming from the
bottom up appearing to be a result of tree root damage and water damage.
We would like permission to remove three trees in this area as well as the
shrubbery. We want to install a drain tile to divert the water away from the
immediate wall section and then we would replant existing type shrubbery 4'
in front of the wall instead of it's current close proximity. Please see
attachment/label #7.
8.) On the south east corner of the home an addition was placed onto the
building at some point. We have a couple of items that we would like to
repair in this area: A.) The roof that is currently an asphalt, three tab roof
will be replaced with a asphalt dimensional shingle. The shingle is a GAF
shingle, color is CorT,14e RRb . The shingle brochure is attached and a
sample of the shingle has been left with Catherine. See attachment/label
#8A. B.) We would like to patch/repair/ and re -coat the chimney in it's
entirety on the east side of the addition with back plaster. After further
review and close inspection fo the chimney we feel it is best to not mess
with it, yet preserve and repair it. The See attachment/label 8B.
C.) The foundation coating that is on the building is deteriated and
crumbling off the foundation. We would propose to install new foundation
coating on the building to for proper maintenance and appearance. See
attachment/label 8C.
9.) All windows will be saved, re- glazed and repaired to their original state.
We will have new storms and screens made for the ones that are missing or
that we do not have. Those items will match the same details as the ones
