will be standard concrete with a broom finish. The size details are per floor
plan. See attachment/label #2.
3.) The HVAC penetrations for utility supply, exhaust, and fresh air intake
are labeled on the plan and will exit via the existing north window well
location. The A.C. condensors (2) locations are also labeled in respect to the
committee's over all view of the property, these will be in the planting space
of the back entry. We figure we will be able to disguise them with plantings
and landscaping as best as possible. See attachment/label #3.
4.) The electrical service is going to be redone so that it can be buried under
ground instead of it's current existence of overhead supply. We will also
have the phone line buried to the building as well. Other exterior electrical
that we will be conducting include a lamp light on the'-power pole on the
south corner of the property to light up the back half of the property for
security reasons, installing (4) lamp lights on poles with design relevant to
the early 1900`s time period, installing recessed lighting in the porch soffit
for safety and affect lighting. See attachment/label #4.
5.) The front door will be reused and refinished. We will be removing the
closer on the exterior of the door and installing something internally. The
door will be refaced, new hinges matching the existing installed, the
hardware will be reused and refinished. The trim that meets the granite from
the front door will be remade to match the same profile - and will be made of
oak, as is the current species. The face of the exterior door will be in oak
veneer as it currently exists. Bartow Builders has reviewed the composition
of the door and deemed it salvageable.- The final aspect of this door will be
weather stripping for proper sealing. This should not affect the approval of
this committee as the stripping will be done internally. Please see
attachment/label #5.
6.) In order to meet the ever growing population with disabled needs
StoneMor, the property owner, has requested to make the building ADA
accessible so that all of their clients and families can enjoy the benefits of
this building as well as their services. The plan we have provided shows the
details of a ramp that we have discussed with Jim Markle at South Bend
Building Inspection. Jim has requested from us to define the ramp and make
it only as wide as it need be. This will include a railing system that will
mount on the building and pass through the window ever so slightly and a
railing that will be mounted into the concrete down the center of the walk
