276 3. Miscellaneous Activities & Grants
277 RHONDA SAUNDERS: The grant packets will not be out until the beginning of
278 August.
279
280 111. OLD BUSINESS
281 None.
282
283 IV. NEW BUSINESS
284
285 JOHN OXIAN: I would like to propose an amendment to our By -Laws. We have
286 never had any of these positions mentioned in the By -Laws and it is time that they are
287 included. I would like to make a motion that amendment one be approved.
288
289 GERALD UJDAK: I second the motion.
290
291 -JOHN OXIAN: - - If you read the By -Laws you will see that the President and Vice
292 President have a lot of power. By putting, the position of Director and Assistant Director
293 in the By -Laws will specifically out line the requirements for these positions as well as
294 define the powers of each position.
295
296 RICHARD MORRISON: The second issue at hand states that all vouchers, checks
297 and transfers shall require the signature of the President and/or the Director and/or the
298 Treasurer. Does that mean that anyone of those individuals can sign them?
299
300 JOHN OXIAN: They will require two signatures.
301
302 RICHARD MORRISON: It does not say two signatures are needed.
303
304 THOMAS BODNAR: It should read that they are required to have the signature of
305 any two of the following: the Director, the Treasurer and/or the President.
306
307 RICHARD MORRISON: I would like it to say specifically who has authority to sign
308 items.
309
310 MARTHA CHOITZ: Specifying exact individuals will make it too difficult to
311 obtain the required two signatures.
312
313 RHONDA SAUNDERS: When you refer to vouchers are you talking about the
314 normal everyday bills the office pays?
315
316 JOHN OXIAN: Yes.
317
318 RHONDA SAUNDERS: Those bills only have a line for one signature, they do not
319 require two signatures.
320
7
