RHONDA SAUNDERS: Every position in every district, except East Wayne Street,
has expired.

JOHN OXIAN: Give me the names of the people who held the newly open
positions.

2. Local Landmarks 1St Reading

JOHN OXIAN: I received a letter from the owner of the potential landmark at 1000
W. Sample. I would like to meet with him to discuss the possibility of a National
Register Nomination to open the doors for tax credits. I do not want to spoil this
opportunity by pushing landmark designation at this time.

3. Standards and Maintenance

.---245--- JOHN-OXIAN: _- - I spoke with Ann McFadden regarding the Edgewater Place.
Historic District about the possibility of putting together a tour of the area to inspect the
properties. Would the Standards and Maintenance Committee be interested setting up a
such a tour?

MARTHA CHOITZ: Yes, I think the Committee would be interested in such a
tour.

GENA DELAURELLE: We are fighting a losing battle to maintain this district.
Tina Assimos is passing around photographs and lists of properties that are either in
violation of the guidelines or minimum maintenance standards. Things are getting so out
of hand it's almost impossible to sell your house let alone sell it to decent people.

JOHN OXIAN: That is why we are hiring an inspector and should have a car with
in the next month. Hopefully this will stop all of the illegal actions and minimum
maintenance. issues.

GENA DELAURELLE: I think that all property owners should be informed of the
fact that an inspector has been hired and will be inspecting the districts regularly. I
would also suggest that the liaison members be allowed to meet with the new inspector to
make him familiar with who he will be dealing with and the problems in the
neighborhoods.

JOHN OXIAN: A notice will be sent to all property owners and I will ask the
inspector as soon as he is hired to set up meetings with the liaison members of each
district.

E. Staff Reports
1. CoA Staff Approvals (see attachment)
2. Legal
None.
Gel
