It was agreed that Mr. Oxian could possibly provide <br />additional information at the next meeting. <br />Mr. Herendeen reiterated that he wanted clarification about <br />the matter before sending a recommendation to -the Common <br />Council. Mrs. Choitz suggested that there might be some way <br />to find support for the owner's maintenance needs. <br />Mr. Holycross stated that it had been suggested that he write <br />to the Studebaker Club to inquire whether they might be able <br />to provide support for the owner's maintenance needs; he <br />wanted wait for HPC direction in the matter. <br />It was agreed that Mr. Holycross should write a letter of <br />inquiry to the Studebaker organization. <br />Motion approved unanimously. <br />IV. Regular Business <br />A. Approval of Minutes <br />Mr. Holycross asked .that the August, 1992 minutes be approved <br />as submitted. <br />Mrs. Sporleder pointed out a misspelled word on page five. <br />Mr. Herendeen moved to approve the August minutes as corrected. <br />Mrs. Sporleder seconded the motion. Motion approved unanimously. <br />B. Treasurer's Report <br />Mr. Holycross asked that the treasurer's report for August, <br />1992 be approved as submitted. <br />Mrs. Sporleder asked if the staff budget had been approved by <br />the county. Mr. Holycross answered that it had and that the <br />staff would receive the same amount of funding, $39,828.00, in <br />1993 as in 1992. <br />Mr. Welsheimer moved to approve the Treasurers Report as <br />submitted. Mr. Herendeen seconded the motion. Motion <br />approved unanimouslv. <br />C. Correspondence <br />Mr. Holycross announced that he had received a notice <br />concerning the Cornelius O'Brien/Indiana University Preservation <br />Conference in French Lick, Indiana and that he had received a <br />scholarship for his expenses to the conference from the DNR/ <br />Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology. <br />Mrs. Sporleder inquired as to the nature of the Michiana Area <br />Construction "plans on file" that appeared each month under <br />Correspondence. Mr. Holycross explained that these plans were <br />sent to the HPC unsolicited and were intended to announce <br />upcoming construction projects going up for, bid in the region. <br />5 <br />
