Mr. Oxian stressed
that there are only six or seven really active neighborhood
associations that would be interested in this endeavor. Mrs. Price
spoke a bit further on Mr. Westmoreland's qualifications. Ms. Peck
was assigned the task of implementing this, and was further told to
invite the Community Development Department. Ms. Peck suggested
that a flyer be made up that could be distributed.
Ms. Peck then spoke about the possibility of setting up three
carousels and stressed that she had discussed this with Ms. Davisson
and Ms. Sporleder, and there is a definite lack of suitable slides.
She had spoken to Lou Sabo about the possibility of doing more
slides. There was discussion as to whether John Stamper could do
this. She said it would take about ten hours to do approxiamtely
fifty slides. Ms. Sporleder suggested that funds be allocated to
have duplicate slides made. Mr. Oxian discussed that some owners
of landmarked structures had sent in either photographs or slides
of their homes, and further he had slides of some buildings that
had come down. Ms. Sporleder suggested that a thorough evaluation
of just what slides are available be made and get those duplicated.
There was further discussion on this matter. He then
spoke about the tape recorders and suggested a simpler one be gotten
than the one borrowed from Community Development. There was some
discussion on this. lets. Peck said it would be advisable to get one
that could be hooked up to the P.A. system in the County Council
chambers. She said she would check this out. Ms. Torzewski suggested
that perhaps the County Council's recorder could be used under those
It circumstances when the meeting is held in the council chambers.
Mr. Wasielewski again stressed the various committees "responsibilities
and duties," for 1978 on the list that was handed out at a caucus
