The schedule that was <br />the board was a hypothetical <br />edule, but it was a realistic <br />edule, based on a presentation of the <br />n tonight, the Commission making a <br />:ision to go ahead, and if they did go <br />ad, then it would take several months <br />get that work all lined up. If the <br />evelcpment Co mnission makes that <br />,ision, decides to go ahead and <br />ides to acquire property, as I said, <br />businesses in there would be <br />I think it's in everyone's best interest <br />that neighborhood businesses stay within <br />the neighborhood. The Redevelopment <br />staff would have the obligation of <br />working with those businesses, and I say <br />businesses in this case because that's <br />primarily what we are talking about. <br />But if they were homeowners or tenants, <br />we would have the same obligation. We <br />wcild have the obligation to work with <br />people and provide financial <br />bdvefits to help them go through the <br />reLocation process. We're not trying to <br />enrich anyone. We're also not trying to <br />ch?at anyone. What we're trying to do, <br />th�ough the federal regulations that we <br />hare to abide by, is to make the cost of <br />move be borne by Redevelopment as <br />to be borne by the business. <br />Ani to put that business owner, <br />tioPefully, into a situation that is a <br />better condition, but the same or <br />similar economic condition that they are <br />in right now.
