CONSTRUCTION <br />Selge Construction South Bend GESC 2019 <br />Project Management Approach <br />For all our project Selge Construction takes a 15-step approach to project management. A critical part of each <br />of our projects is die SMART meetings. SMART stands for Strategy, Ntethods, Analyzation, Required, <br />Together. <br />1. Job Awarded <br />a. <br />Project has strong indication of being awarded to Selge. <br />b. <br />Estimator removes the excess details from the project, including old plans, specs, quotes, <br />and submittals. <br />c. <br />Estimator/Engineer highlights the job for the Project Manager. <br />a. <br />Estimator/Engineer hands the final project details to die office staff to file into the cloud. <br />2. Hand -Off <br />to Project Manager <br />a. <br />Estimator/Engineer hands the project over to die Project Manager. <br />b. <br />Project Manager becomes familiar with project and reads plans and specifications. <br />c. <br />Review all files on cloud. <br />3. SMART 1.0 Meeting <br />a. <br />Project manager and Estimator get together to review the project. <br />b. <br />Brain dump of project background. <br />c. <br />Review subcontractors and material numbers. <br />4. Material <br />and Subcontractors <br />a. <br />Develop and receive Job Hazard Analysis QHA) from subs. <br />b. <br />Project Manager prepares PO's for all subcontractors and vendors. <br />c. <br />Review Subcontractor safety plan be certain silica standard is reviewed. <br />d. <br />Develop material schedule for submittals, lead times, and delivery. <br />e. <br />Create final list of subcontractor/materials with final pricing for Project Manager Assistant <br />to create PO's. <br />5. Submittals <br />a. <br />Gather all submittals from vendors, subcontractors, and engineers. <br />b. <br />Submit to the Owner for review prior to releasing PO. <br />c. <br />Keep submittals on Cloud. <br />6. SMART 2.0 Meeting <br />a. <br />Project Manager plans prepares and leads meeting. <br />b. <br />Items 1-5 feed into this meeting. PM is gathering and building into SMART document. <br />c. <br />Setup of Dashboard for the project. <br />d. <br />Make certain foreman is involved. <br />e. <br />Determine which equipment/tools are needed. <br />7. Pre -Con Preparation <br />a. <br />Pre -Construction videos. <br />b. <br />Emergency contact list. <br />c. <br />Supplier list. <br />d. <br />Schedule and phasing (sequence of installation). <br />8. Pre -Con Meeting <br />a. <br />Meeting with customer, owner, engineer, subcontractor, utility, and inspector. <br />21 <br />
