Dimensions shall allow for easy removal of device from holder. <br />A seat belt style retaining strap shall be secured to the back with footman loops. The stair chair holder <br />shall be mounted into the compartment with two (2) 300 tbs., full extension ball bearing drawer slid <br />Y 7N- <br />7.18 SAFETY REFLECTORS <br />A 4.5" wide x, V high red reflector shall be provided and installed on the inside, lower <br />outboard area of each exterior door. These reflectors shall warn oncoming traffic of <br />the open door while on scene. <br />7.19 GRAB RAIL <br />An exterior style 16" stainless steel grab rail shall be installed on the curbside of the <br />vehicle to the rear of the curbside entrance door. The grab rail shall be bolted <br />through the body skin and through the aluminum side structure with fender washers <br />and lock nuts on the interior and rubber gaskets under the feet of the grab rail on the <br />exterior. A grab rail mounted to the body skin is unacceptable. <br />7.20 SIDE BODY SEAMS <br />All side center body seams are to be MIG welded, fully filled and body finished to <br />create a smooth, blemish, free surface for final finishing and painting. There shall be <br />no side body molding applied or required. 10 <br />Y VN_ <br />1,21 REAR BUMPER <br />The rear step bumper shall be approximately 94" wide and step tread depth of 10.5". <br />The bumper shall be supported with a 1.5" x 1.5" x .250" wall steel tube sub frame <br />and have .250" steel angle outer frame construction. The bumper shall be bolted to <br />the vertical web of the chassis frame rails with .375" x 1.5" Grade 8 bolts, nuts and <br />washers. This configuration is designed to reduce body damage by directing impact <br />under the body and away from the patient area should a rear impact crash occur. <br />The center section of the bumper shall be 7" x 46" x 2" and be constructed of an <br />open grate diamond back material and shall flip -up over center to facilitate loading a <br />cot. The aluminum step shall be bolted to the sub -frame with 250" x 20 stainless <br />steel bolts for ease of replacement. Y t/N <br />7.21.1 The removable end pods of'the bumper are constructed of cast aluminum. <br />The height of the end pods shall be 4" and shall have 3" radius corners. The surface <br />of the end pods shall be finished with 375" slip resistant raised pattern and <br />embossed logo. <br />Y_k/N <br />7.22 DOCK BUMPERS <br />Two (2) rubber dock bumpers shall be provided and installed on the rear of the <br />vehicle, to cushion the vehicle against impact. These dock bumpers shall be in <br />addition to, the specified rear bumper. <br />Y_ZN <br />7,22.1 An aluminum diamond plate protection plate on the rear face above the rear <br />step shall be provided and T'IG welded to ensure secure fit. Rear kick plate shall not <br />be screwed on or pop riveted. <br />M <br />
