Potter & Brumfield 12 VDC breakers shall separately
protect the Radio Power circuit with a 40-amp breaker; the Constant Power circuit
with a 20-amp breaker; the Ford auto -throttle system with a 10-amp breaker; and the
Isolator circuit for the two (2) additional 12 VDC charging circuits required in 21-02-
00, a 20-amp breaker. Due to the potential danger associated with a separate
"battery hot" circuit, no exceptions to the above will be allowed. This Isolator circuit
includes a "low voltage" Schottky Diode to isolate medical equipment batteries from
any electrical loads. The diode shall be located and electrically connected between
the circuit breaker and the receptacles. Additional breakers may be added for
optional equipment such as power door locks, multiple radio installations or
compressor pumps. Additional radio leads including hot wire, ignition switched hot
wire and ground shall be provided. One set shall be in the front console and one set
in the rear action area.
