South Bend Central Development Area <br />() continued... <br />Mr. Keen: I understand that. One, I <br />suppose we could think about that. But <br />business does work through the process of <br />negotiation. Public po licy might not <br />allow us to, so part of our question would <br />be if there's some way we could have <br />some conversation about that. We can <br />probably come through and put some of <br />these things down. There might be a <br />possibility, too, one could imagine, since <br />we've got one, two three, twelve items <br />there, a variety of different options that <br />one could look at. In some sense, any one <br />option exists in a context. Would it be all <br />right for us to provide you with answers to <br />this in written form, say on Monday, so <br />we could sit down and think more <br />carefully and write up deal breakers? <br />Mr. King: One of the things that is <br />different about this than some of the <br />business negotiations you may be familiar <br />with is this is public business. We can't <br />sit down and negotiate with you in <br />private. We don't really want to negotiate <br />in public. What we asked you for as part <br />of our public process was a response to <br />our request for proposals, and when we <br />felt we needed additional information to <br />better understand your initial response to <br />our RFP, we sent you ahead of time a list <br />of written questions which you've now <br />had for about a month, right?
