South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Rescheduled Regular Meeting -March 10, 2006
6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.)
B. South Bend Central Development Area
() continued...
tower, we're not going forward, that's
pretty important. Because it's our
understanding that moving the cell tower,
if it can be done at all, is in excess of a
million dollar project. If you're saying the
cell tower has got to go, just like you've
got to leave the people in Fire Arts or
we're not building our green development
here, then we know that that's a factor that
we have to confront. Before we can even
talk to you any more we have to come up
with the million bucks.
Mr. Bergeman: It probably affects both
projects, I expect.
Mr. King: Probably does. But we need
know before, not after.
Mr. Bergeman: It's not a deal breaker, but
it's something we have to creatively
integrate into our concept.
Mr. King: Understood. But the way this
question was written was to ask you about
deal breakers. Specifically, the question
said, "Would you proceed with your
development o~ if the city agrees to all
of the above. If no, please state which of
the above you would not require. So,
when you tell us the things you would not
require, what's left we would consider to
be deal breakers. Right? In other words,
maybe it's shorter. Maybe there are only
two things on here that you would require.
VUe need to know what the deal breakers
are.
34
