12. Completed interior assessments of Stamping Plant (1,370,000 s.f.) Huckins Tool & Die <br />(18,000 s. f.) and Underground Pipe and Valve (568,000 s.f.) and South Bend Lathe <br />(466,000 s.f.). This is required prior to writing demolition specs for any of these <br />buildings. <br />13. Finalizing Remediation Work Plan for Area A Soils and Area C Soils - Indiana Voluntary <br />Remediation Program. Should submit to IDEM in early 2004. <br />14. Developing recommendations for institutional controls as part of remediation strategy for <br />Studebaker /Oliver project area. A groundwater ordinance has been drafted and is being <br />revised based on comments from City staff. It will be submitted to IDEM's attorney in <br />early 2004 for his comments. <br />15. Working with Notre Dame Asst. Prof. Jessic Chalmers on "Avanti" play. Play will be <br />presented in late 2004 or 2005 at a location in the project area. <br />16. Continued negotiations with potential users of the Oliver Industrial Park. <br />17. Put land in Oliver Industrial Park up for bid in Spring 2003. Received two bids (Rose <br />Fuel & Materials & Hill truck Sales) and a letter of interest (Underground Pipe & Valve). <br />18. Worked with Oliver Museum Group on determining location for Oliver Museum. Helped <br />them decide on site adjacent to Northern Indiana Center for History. <br />19. Worked with other department staff and city engineering staff on new alignment of <br />United Drive. <br />20. Worked with other staff to resolve issues related to expansion of United Beverage. <br />21. Worked with environmental attorneys to search for insurance documentation in archives <br />in order to pursue insurance recovery as a funding source. <br />22. Consulted with environmental attorneys to pursue our claim filed with Allied Products' <br />bankruptcy. A potential settlement is scheduled to be heard by the court December 16, <br />2003. <br />23. Worked with staff at the Indiana Department of Revenue to collect information needed to <br />determine baseline for sales tax increment and state income tax increment in CRED <br />district.. <br />24. Received $500,000 TCSP grant from Department of Transportation for infrastructure <br />improvements for the Studebaker /Oliver project. <br />25. Handled cleanup from September fire at Stamping Plant. <br />
