South Bend Central Development Area <br />(4) continued... <br />upcoming vacancy is expected. Staff <br />recommends accepting the proposals from <br />Farrington Appraisals, Inc. and R. E. Pitts & <br />Associates. <br />Ms. Jones inquired if the appraisals were for <br />all the Michigan Street Shops. <br />Mr. Williams replied that all shops were <br />included and the appraisals completed on a <br />square footage basis. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hunt, seconded by <br />Mr. King and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request for <br />professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area and authorized <br />staff to retain Farrington Appraisals, Inc. and <br />R. E. Pitts & Associates based on the scope <br />of services and fee proposed. <br />(5) Commission approval requested for Letter <br />of Agreement — Addendum #1 to original <br />contract dated August 2003 from Lehman <br />& Lehman related to the East Washington <br />Area Streetscape Development Project. <br />Mr. Schalliol reported that the Letter of <br />Agreement - Addendum #1 was prepared by <br />Lehman & Lehman for the East Washington <br />Area Streetscape Development Project. The <br />original contract for this project was <br />executed by the Redevelopment Commission <br />in August 2003. The addendum addresses <br />two items: (1) To reimburse the original <br />contract for anticipated work that was <br />IL 18 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE REQUEST FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE SOUTH BEND <br />CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA AND <br />AUTHORIZED STAFF TO RETAIN FARRINGTON <br />APPRAISALS, INC. AND R. E. PITTS & <br />ASSOCIATES BASED ON THE SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />AND FEE PROPOSED. <br />
