Airport Economic Development Area <br />(2) Staff report on acquisition of property in <br />the Airport Economic Development Area. <br />(1629 and 1633 Knoblock) <br />Mr. Witwer noted that the owner of 1629 <br />Knoblock has agreed to our offering price of <br />$54,000. The owners of 1633 Knoblock <br />have made a counter offer of $65,500. They <br />submitted their own appraisal in that amount. <br />Staff recommends accepting the counter offer <br />and pay closing costs. <br />Mr. Peczkowski asked how much that would <br />amount to. Mr. Peterson responded <br />approximately $2,000. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />Mr. Peczkowski and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission accepted the counter offer <br />for 1633 Knoblock in the amount of $65,500 <br />plus closing costs not to exceed $2,000. <br />Mr. Peczkowski asked where we are in <br />negotiations for the third property. Mr. <br />Witwer responded that the owner is an <br />elderly lady and she is considering the offer. <br />(3) Commission approval requested for <br />proposal for professional services in the <br />Airport Economic Development Area. <br />(Survey work, Miami corridor expansion) <br />Mr. Witwer noted that item 6.E.(3) should be <br />tabled since the public hearing on Resolution <br />No. 2354 was continued. <br />COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE COUNTER OFFER <br />FOR 1633 KNOBLOCK IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$6S,SOO PLUS CLOSING COSTS NOT TO EXCEED <br />$2,000 <br />51 <br />
