Public Hearings <br />continue ... <br />Therefore, adding this language allows the <br />Commission to serve as a conduit for some <br />of the repair and rehabilitation processes <br />along certain corridors and in certain <br />neighborhoods within South Bend. We feel <br />it is a more effective mechanism, a more <br />effective way of doing this. It's really a <br />mechanical change in the way we're doing <br />some things. <br />Mr. Inks noted that this relates to the Facade <br />Matching Grant program that has been <br />running on the commercial corridors for a <br />number of years. At a future meeting we' 11 <br />bring back to the Commission a program to <br />continue the facade matching grants in <br />various areas under the jurisdiction of the <br />Redevelopment Commission. At this time <br />we're just amending the plan to provide for a <br />voluntary rehab program that will be defined <br />and brought before the Commission at a later <br />date. <br />Ms. Jones opened the Public Hearing for PUBLIC HE~NG oN RESOLUr1oNNo. 2353 <br />whoever wished to speak.
