South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting —June 14, 2011 <br />(4) Resolution No. 2895 approving the fair <br />market value of property in the South <br />Bend Central Development Area (502 W. <br />Western Ave., former Harmon Glass) <br />Mr. Sikora noted that this revised Resolution <br />No. 2895 sets the offering price for the <br />former Harmon Glass property on Western <br />Ave at $45,000, the average of two <br />independent appraisals. This action begins <br />the disposition process for the former <br />Harmon Glass property at 502 Western Ave. <br />Staff recommends approval. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Varner, seconded by <br />Mr. Alford and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2895 <br />approving the fair market value of property <br />in the South Bend Central Development Area <br />(502 W. Western Ave., former Harmon <br />Glass) <br />(5) Bid Specifications and Design <br />Considerations for 502 W. Western <br />Avenue. <br />Mr. Sikora noted that the Bid Specifications <br />include a requirement that the user must <br />include a basic reuse plan for the site and a <br />project timeline detailing aspects of the site <br />redevelopment and site improvements. <br />During the review process, emphasis will be <br />placed on compatibility with the goals and <br />objectives of the Coveleski Park <br />Neighborhood as well as the Development <br />Plan for the South Bend Central <br />Development Area.
