P e User's <br />may be necessary to rotect the POTW and determine <br />compliance with the requirements of this Division. <br />The Director may require any person discharging into the POTW to <br />install and. maintain on their 12rol2elly and at their expense, a suitable <br />storage and flow - control facili ty to ensure equalization of flow. An <br />individual wastewater discharge permit may be issued solely for flow <br />equalization. <br />M The _Board or its designee may require Users, other than residential <br />users, to supply pertinent information on wastewater flow characteristics <br />Such measurements,_ tests and analyses shall be at the User's expense. If <br />made by the City, an gpj2ropriate charge may be assessed to the User at the <br />City's option. <br />Grease, oil, and sand interceptors shall be provided by the User as <br />necessary for the proper „handling of wastewater containing excessive <br />amounts of grease and oil or sand. All interception units shall be of a <br />type and capacity acceptable to the Board of Public Works or its designee <br />and .- shall _be_so located to._be..easily accessible for cleaning and _inspection. <br />Interceptors or traps shall be constructed of impervious materials capable <br />of withstanding abrupt and extreme changes in temperature, and shall be of <br />substantial construction, be was tight and equipped with easily removable <br />covers. Specifications for grease, oil, and sand interceptors shall be in <br />accordance with provisions of the Indiana Plumbing Code as amended <br />Such interceptors shall be inspected, cleaned and repaired by the User at <br />their expense. , <br />1) Users with the potential to discharge flammable substances may be <br />required to install and maintain an approved combustible gas detection <br />meter. <br />(b) Accidental discharges/slugs Discharge Control Plans: <br />(1) Eaeh All &Significant iIndustrial uUsers SIU's shall previde submit <br />an accidental discharge /slug discharge control plan n ^'' phi :& .,u : ,.,f <br />to approval by the Director even two (2) years or when substantial <br />changes occur to the components of the 121an. Each plan is subject to <br />approval by the Director, and shall; thereafter; be implemented by the <br />signi€ieant industrial uUser. The _Director may require any User to <br />develop, submit for approval, and implement such a plan or take such <br />other action that may be necessary to control Slug <br />Alternatively, the Director may develop such a Rlan for any User.
