Crowley, for St. Matthew's Cathedral, 1701 Miami Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana, for permission to block Dubail Street, from Miami <br />to Dale, from 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. on school days, was referred to <br />Traffic Engineering for investigation and report to the Board. <br />REQUEST FOR MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY TO HOLD BAND CONCERT - 10/4/69 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request <br />of John Kagel, Executive Director, Downtown South Bend Council, 320 W. <br />Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, for a concert by Michigan State <br />University band, in front of the court house on October 4, 1969, and <br />while marching from the court house east on Jeffersontto Michigan, north <br />to Washington, and west on Washington to the court house, at approximately <br />11:00 A.M. <br />MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM LEASE <br />Copy of lease with Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend for a performance <br />by the Band of America on 8/22/69 was reviewed and ordered filed. <br />ABANDONED VEHICLE ORDINANCE - FEES ESTABLISHED <br />A discussion was had in reference to establishing fees in conjunction with <br />the abandoned vehicle ordinance. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the following fees were established: <br />Towing charge $15.00 <br />Disposing of vehicle $15.00 <br />Storage charge None <br />REQUEST FOR TRANSFER OF FUNDS - CITY ENGINEER <br />Upo n motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request <br />of the City Engineer for the transfer of $150.00 from Account L-722 <br />(motor equipment) to Account L-323 (tires). And the matter was referred <br />to the Legal Department for the preparation of an ordinance for the con- <br />sideration of the Common Council. <br />STREETS LIGHTS APPROVED <br />Model Cities area, bounded by Linden, Adams, Washington and Olive: <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved <br />the recommendation of Traffic Engineering for the following: <br />Replace 30 <br />- 4000L <br />INC <br />OH WP <br />Replace 1 <br />- 1000L <br />INC <br />OH WP <br />Install 13 <br />- 7000L <br />MV <br />OH WP <br />Relocate 1 <br />- 7000L <br />MV <br />OH WP <br />at an increase in cost of $73.75 per month. <br />South Lafayette, from he viaduct to Sample Street: <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried the Board approved <br />the recom mendation of Traffic Engineering for the following: <br />Replace 3 existing lights with 200000L MV OH WP <br />Install 5 additional lights with 20,000L MV OH WP <br />at a cost to the City of $35.60. <br />Area bounded, roughly, by Peashway, Eddy, Howard and Niles of the Code <br />Enforcement Project: <br />Upon moti6o:;mad0, secohded'_and ;carried, the Board approved the recommendation <br />of Traffic Engineering, as follows: <br />Replace <br />27 <br />- 4000L <br />INC <br />OH WP <br />Replace <br />3 <br />- 6000L <br />INC <br />OH WP <br />Add <br />42 <br />- 7000L <br />MV <br />OH WP <br />as modified by the Board.
