6/30/69 <br />TRAFFIC REGULATIONS APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for the following: <br />Prohibit parking on the west side of the street - 300 block of Chapin, <br />from Western to a point 15 feet north of the first alley intersection. <br />Remove Meter #1 from the north side of Western just west of <br />Lafayette Street. <br />Install two-hour limit parking meter in front of 419 W. Jefferson. <br />REQUEST FOR SPEED LIMIT SIGNS ON JACKSON ROAD <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of Dana Wheeler, 1810 <br />Renfrew Drive, South Bend, Indiana and 10 others for the installation of <br />speed limit signs between Ironwood and Miama Roads, on Jackson Road, was <br />referred to Traffic Engineering for study and recommendation. <br />RECOMMENDATION OF CONSULTING ENGINEER <br />PRELIMINARY ORDER - STREET IMPROVEMENTS <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendations of Clyde E. Calvert St.-; <br />Type <br />I concrete <br />IMPROVEMENT <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. <br />3268, <br />1969 <br />- Walsh St. - <br />Type <br />I concrete <br />FINAL CONFIRMATION <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3283, 1969 - FELLOWS STREET (SEWER) <br />For the improvement of Fellows Street, from Ireland Road to Walters Street <br />and west to Walters for approximately 500 feet, by constructing a sanitary <br />sewer. <br />Nop remonstrances against said improvement bearing the signatures of 51% or more <br />ofthe resident property owners on said street to be improved having been filed <br />within 10 days following the date and time of hearing on said improvement, <br />upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, said Improvement Resolution, <br />adopted June 2, 1969, and first confirmed June 10, 1969, was in all things <br />finally confirmed and the improvement ordered made. <br />FINAL CONFIRMATION OF IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION <br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ADOPTED <br />NOTICE <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3287 - PRAST BOULEVARD <br />For the improvement of Prast Boulevard, from Johnson Street to Huey Street, <br />by constructing a Class C pavement with curb. <br />Improvement Resolution No. 3207, 1969, for said improvement having been <br />adopted May 26, 1969, and first confirmed June 18, 1969, and no remonstrances <br />bearing the signatures of 51% or more of the resident property owners on said <br />street to be improved having been filed within 10 days following the date and <br />time of the hearing on said improvement, upon motion made, seconded and <br />unanimously carried, said improvement resolution was in all things finally <br />confirmed and the improvement ordered made. <br />And the Board hereby adopts and orders placed on fife plans and specifications <br />approved by the Board on May 26, 1969. <br />July 14, 1969, at 10:00 A.M. is fixed as the time for receiving bids for the <br />construction of said improvement.
