6/30/69 <br />ADOPTION OF VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3295, 1969 - SEARS ROEBUCK 6, CO. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the following resolution <br />was adopted: <br />"RESOLVES BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, That it is desirable to vacate the following: <br />Franklin Street, from Western Avenue south to Monroe Street. <br />Reserving the rights and easements of all utilities and <br />the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, to construct <br />and maintain any facilities, including but not limited <br />to electric, telephone, gas, water, sewer, surface water <br />control structures and ditches within the vacated right <br />of way unless such rights are released by the individual <br />utilities. <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially <br />affected by'such vacation: <br />Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 of Block 8 of Vail's <br />Southwest Addition and Lots 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 <br />and 31 of Part of Vail's Southwest Addition. <br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the filth day <br />of July and on the 18th day of July, 1969, in the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri County News. <br />This Board, at its office in the City Hall, on the 14th day <br />of July, 1969, at 9:30 A.M., will hear and receive <br />remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by these <br />proceedings. <br />Adopted this 30th day of June, 1969. <br />Lloyd S..Taylor <br />S. Safety." <br />STREET LIGHTS APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved <br />the recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for the following: <br />Increase the existing 7000L MV light at the gas pumps at <br />Municipal Services Facility to 20,0001- MV. Added cost being $1.60 per mo. <br />Installation of two 7000L MV on existing poles - 4400 block of S. Main. <br />Added cost being $7.50 per mo. <br />Replace seven 4000L INC with 7000L MV at a cost of $5.40 per mo., and <br />Install one midblock light - 7000L MV at a cost of $3.75 per mo. - <br />Colfax Avenue, between Studebaker and LaPorte. <br />Replace one 6000L INC at LaPorte and Colfax with 21,0001- MV at a cost <br />of $2.15 per mo. Also one additional to Model Cities project at a <br />cost of $11.30 per mo. <br />STREET SIGNS APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for the following: <br />Installation of "STOP" sign and post on 36ehsStreetsatcNonths!de on <br />>the::noethwest corner. <br />Installation of "YIELD" sign and post - northeast corner of Chapin and <br />Western. <br />Installation of "STOP" sign and post - northwest corner of Lafayette <br />and Ireland Road. <br />Install "STOP" sign on Woodside at York. <br />
