COMPLAINT CONDITION OF ALLEY, 1900 S. CHAPIN <br />The Board received a letter from Councilman Walter Kopczynski <br />complaining about the condition of an alley at 1900 S. Chapin, <br />where the Gas Company made anainstallation and left the alley <br />in bad condition. Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by <br />Mr... Brunner and carried, the Board referred the complaint to the <br />Bureau of Public Construction and the Bureau of Streets for <br />review and recommendation with a report to be made in one week. <br />INQUIRY ABOUT PAVING OF SUPERGRAPHIC AREA OF RIVER BEND PLAZA <br />Mr. Brunner asked whether any consideration has been given to <br />repaving the Supergraphic area on River Bend Plaza where the <br />painted surface is in very bad condition. Mr. Farrand said repaving <br />had not been considered since it was believed that construction <br />of that block of the Mall was imminent. He said slurry seal <br />could be put down at acost of approximately 6ft- a square yard <br />and the matter would be investigated. Ralph Wadzinski, TZanager <br />of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, said he would like to be <br />advised if repaving is planned, since the parking spaces need <br />striping and he will not order this done if the surface is to be <br />repaved. <br />SIGNING OF TITLE SHEET - HAWBAKER STREET SANITARY SEWED. <br />The title sheet approving the plans for the Hawbaker Street Sanitary <br />Serer was submitted to the Board. Mr. Farrand explained that the <br />plans were drawn up by a Professional Engineer for the Christian <br />Center Church on Ireland Road and the construction will be done at <br />private expense, with the City to inspect and approve the construction. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the title sheet approving the plans was signed. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of September 7 through <br />10 was submitted to the Board. The report indicated 23 outages. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the report was ordered filed. <br />FILING OF PETITIO14 TO VACATE EAST -WEST ALLEY BETWEEN RANDOLPH <br />AND CALVERT STREETS <br />Jack C. Dunfee, Attorney, files a petition on behalf of Bel Air <br />Realty, Inc, for the vacation of the east -west alley between Randolph <br />Street and Calvert Street, running west from Ironwood Drive to the <br />first north -south alley west of Ironwood. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the petition was <br />filed and referred to the Department of Engineering for preliminary <br />review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST FOR STREET LIGHTS <br />The Board received a request from residents of the Cape Cod and <br />Provincial Drive area asking .for the installation of a street light <br />at the intersection. The request was filed, upon motion made by <br />Mr. Farrand, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, and referred to <br />the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting -for review and possible inclusion <br />on a chronological list of installations to be made when funds are <br />available. <br />KIWANIS NEWSPAPER SALE APPROVED <br />The Board received a recommendation from Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager <br />of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, regarding his review of <br />the request of the Kiwanis Club to conduct their annual newspaper <br />sale at intersections on Saturday, September 25, 1976. Mr. Wadzinski <br />recommended that the Board delete six intersections from the request <br />and ask the Kiwanis Club to submit alternate intersections for <br />review if they desire. Mr. Brunner asked Mr. Wadzinski the reason <br />
