REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 14. 1983 <br />Indiana Department of Highways has requested this survey be <br />conducted. The proposal as submitted states that the price <br />of the investigation will not exceed $3,684.25 without prior <br />approval for the additional work. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above <br />proposal was approved. <br />APPROVE EASEMENT AND RIGHT-OF-WAY (KENSINGTON FARMS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised the Board that this Easement and <br />Right -of -Way provides for dedication of public right-of-way <br />for sanitary and storm sewers and street improvements to <br />be developed by Jack Hickey Associates, Inc. in the Kensington <br />Farms area. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the above referred to Easement and <br />Right -of -Way was accepted and approved. <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEET AND REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR <br />BIDS - SOUTH BEND AVENUE SANITARY SEWER PROJECT <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised the Board that as a result of the <br />public hearing on Improvement Resolution No. 3519-1983 held <br />on March 7, 1983, Mr. David A. Wells, P.E., Manager, Bureau <br />of Design and Administration, is requesting permission to <br />cause legal advertising for the receipt of bids for the <br />construction of the South Bend Avenue Sanitary Sewer Project. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the Title Sheet was approved and signed and <br />the request to advertise for bids was approved with sealed <br />bids to be received by the Board on April 4, 1983. <br />REQUEST TO HOLD MEMORIAL DAY PARADE - MAY 30, 1983 REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Adeline Waslicki, Secretary of <br />the West Side Memorial Committee requested permission to <br />hold the annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 30 1983. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau <br />of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Traffic Division <br />for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST TO HOLD ANNUAL POPPY DAY SALE - <br />MAY 20 & 21. 1983 REFERRED <br />In aletter to the Board, Mr. George Grenert, Quartermaster, <br />South Bend Post 1167, Veterans of Foreign Wars requested <br />permission on behalf of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of <br />the U.S. to hold their annual Poppy Day Sale on the streets <br />and sidewalks throughout the City. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighiing and the Police Traffic Division for review and <br />recommendation. <br />REQUEST MOBILE OFFICE EXTENSION OF TI14E - PENNY SAVER - REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. James W. Vermillion, Controller, <br />Penny Saver, 2102 South Michigan Street, requested the Board <br />grant an extension of at least nine (9) months for the use <br />of a 12' x 60 temporary -mobile office at the present site. <br />It was noted that the Board originally approved the request <br />for a temporary mobile office on March 29, 1982 for a period <br />of six to nine months. At that time, the Board approved the <br />placing of this temporary mobile office until December, 1982. <br />The request before the Board is now for an additional extension <br />of time. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was referred to the <br />necessary departments for review and recommendation. <br />I <br />1 <br />
