REGULAR MEETING MARCH 14. 1983 Indiana Department of Highways has requested this survey be conducted. The proposal as submitted states that the price of the investigation will not exceed $3,684.25 without prior approval for the additional work. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above proposal was approved. APPROVE EASEMENT AND RIGHT-OF-WAY (KENSINGTON FARMS Mr. Leszczynski advised the Board that this Easement and Right -of -Way provides for dedication of public right-of-way for sanitary and storm sewers and street improvements to be developed by Jack Hickey Associates, Inc. in the Kensington Farms area. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above referred to Easement and Right -of -Way was accepted and approved. APPROVE TITLE SHEET AND REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - SOUTH BEND AVENUE SANITARY SEWER PROJECT Mr. Leszczynski advised the Board that as a result of the public hearing on Improvement Resolution No. 3519-1983 held on March 7, 1983, Mr. David A. Wells, P.E., Manager, Bureau of Design and Administration, is requesting permission to cause legal advertising for the receipt of bids for the construction of the South Bend Avenue Sanitary Sewer Project. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the Title Sheet was approved and signed and the request to advertise for bids was approved with sealed bids to be received by the Board on April 4, 1983. REQUEST TO HOLD MEMORIAL DAY PARADE - MAY 30, 1983 REFERRED In a letter to the Board, Ms. Adeline Waslicki, Secretary of the West Side Memorial Committee requested permission to hold the annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 30 1983. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Traffic Division for review and recommendation. REQUEST TO HOLD ANNUAL POPPY DAY SALE - MAY 20 & 21. 1983 REFERRED In aletter to the Board, Mr. George Grenert, Quartermaster, South Bend Post 1167, Veterans of Foreign Wars requested permission on behalf of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. to hold their annual Poppy Day Sale on the streets and sidewalks throughout the City. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighiing and the Police Traffic Division for review and recommendation. REQUEST MOBILE OFFICE EXTENSION OF TI14E - PENNY SAVER - REFERRED In a letter to the Board, Mr. James W. Vermillion, Controller, Penny Saver, 2102 South Michigan Street, requested the Board grant an extension of at least nine (9) months for the use of a 12' x 60 temporary -mobile office at the present site. It was noted that the Board originally approved the request for a temporary mobile office on March 29, 1982 for a period of six to nine months. At that time, the Board approved the placing of this temporary mobile office until December, 1982. The request before the Board is now for an additional extension of time. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was referred to the necessary departments for review and recommendation. I 1
