Identification placards shall be affixed to all equipment. <br />4. SCHEDULE OF OPERATIONS <br />a. The work day shall consist of any S consecutive hours between 6:OOAM <br />and 5:30PM. A work week shall consist of 40 hours on Monday through <br />Friday. All scheduled and non -emergency activities shall occur during <br />normal work days, unless otherwise approved. work outside of these <br />hours or days will only be permitted with written request specifying <br />where, when, and what work is to be done as described in Exhibit "H", <br />which is attached and made a part of this Contract. Such request shall <br />be submitted two work days in advance and must be approved by the <br />Engineer prior to any work. If the Engineer does not approve this <br />request, the work shall be rescheduled to a time approved by the <br />Engineer. Each day outside the work week that is requested and <br />approved for work shall also be considered a work day. <br />b. All visits by the CITY to any intersection shall be recorded on the <br />maintenance card located in the controller cabinet. INDOT will provide <br />additional blank maintenance cards to the CITY to supplement existing <br />full maintenance cards or to replace those maintenance cards that have <br />been destroyed or become lost. The traffic signal maintenance card <br />found in each cabinet shall be signed by the technician in charge of <br />the lamp replacement, aerial inspection, or loop sealing operation. <br />This record shall include the date, military time, initials and one of <br />the following notations: Relamp, Loop Replacement, Aerial Inspection, <br />or other description to indicate the work performed. The Relamp and <br />Aerial Inspection report shall also be used to document the work <br />performed. <br />5. SPECIAL SIGNAL SYSTEMS <br />a. Wherever the CITY has installed signal systems utilizing combination <br />traffic signal/streetlight poles or specialized controller equipment on <br />State Highways, and where or when the system is controlled and operated <br />by the CITY, all specialized materials, controllers, conduit, cabling, <br />and hardware uncommon to INDOT shall be furnished, maintained, <br />controlled and operated by the CITY. All unique material furnished by <br />the CITY shall remain the property of the CITY. The CITY shall maintain <br />an adequate supply of all unique materials to properly maintain said <br />signal systems on State Highways. <br />Page 4 of 53 Pages <br />
