determined that the communication between the master and secondary is <br />not functioning properly, the CITY shall determine the cause of the <br />communication error. Major repair or replacement of interconnect cable <br />shall be performed during normal working hours only. Splice repair will <br />be paid on the basis of labor and equipment used, (straight time only). <br />Refer to the Fiber Optic Specifications in Exhibit "K". <br />12. MATERIALS <br />a.INDOT shall furnish all standard major signal equipment and materials <br />used in making repairs or replacements, and in the performance of all <br />maintenance on INDOT owned and controlled signals. Such materials <br />shall include, but will not be limited to the following: signal heads <br />or faces (including component parts), signal cable, slip fitters, <br />pipe arm assemblies, span wire hanger assemblies, controllers, <br />including flashers, detectors, conduit and fittings, signal metal <br />poles and/or mast arms, pedestal pipe, cast iron or aluminum base <br />(with anchor bolts, if required). <br />b.The CITY shall stock and furnish all necessary specialized materials., <br />controllers, conduit, cabling, coordinating equipment, combination <br />traffic signal -street light poles, and hardware uncommon to INDOT to <br />adequately maintain the specialized traffic control equipment <br />installed on INDOT highways at intersections listed in Exhibit "A". <br />c.Any minor material parts not furnished by INDOT (such as electrical <br />or friction tape, Sta-Kons, clips, wire, small nuts and bolts, screws <br />and washers), shall be furnished by the CITY at no extra cost to <br />INDOT. <br />d. The CITY shall be accountable and responsible for any materials and <br />equipment furnished by INDOT that are not considered expendable items <br />(controllers, controller cabinets, poles, detectors, modules, etc.). <br />e.All damaged equipment removed from signal installations covered in <br />this Contract shall be stored by the CITY at its facilities for pick- <br />up by INDOT. <br />f. Exhibit H through Exhibit 0. These forms shall be utilized as <br />needed. <br />13. ADDITIONS OR DELETIONS OF WORK LOCATIONS <br />a. INDOT shall notify the CITY in writing of any addition or deletion of <br />traffic signal installations to Exhibit "A", and the effective date of <br />the addition or deletion. <br />b.
