signal may be placed in a flashing mode while repairs are being <br />completed. In the performance of Non -Routine Maintenance under terms <br />of this Contract, the CITY shall: <br />1. Keep and provide records of all work performed in making Non - <br />Routine repairs. <br />2. Submit a "Signal Work Activity Report (Exhibit "C" attached and <br />made a part of this Contract) for each intersection where work <br />was performed, attached to a properly executed monthly claim <br />voucher. <br />3. Make no alterations of existing installations unless authorized <br />in writing by INDOT except in cases of emergency when a traffic <br />signal is out of operation and no one from INDOT can be reached <br />to authorize the repairs in which case, the CITY shall make the <br />necessary repairs and submit damaged equipment to INDOT as <br />evidence of material used to keep the signal in operation. <br />4. Provide a copy of the Police Department Accident or Officers <br />Report in reference to damage to traffic signal installations <br />that INDOT may attempt recovery of damages. <br />5. Respond to all calls of reported malfunctioning traffic signals <br />within two (2) hours. <br />d. INDOT shall inspect all work performed in making Non -Routine <br />Maintenance repairs, and recommend full, partial or no payment. <br />INDOT will not pay for travel time to and from any intersection. <br />11. TIME BASED AND INTERCONNECT SYSTEMS <br />The CITY shall check that all interconnected and time based systems are <br />functioning correctly on a biannual basis in conjunction with the <br />periodic "Preventive Maintenance" for Actuated Signal Controllers. One <br />system timing pattern shall be checked per visit on an alternating <br />basis. If a system timing pattern that is not currently in operation is <br />desired to be checked, the timing pattern may be changed to the desired <br />timing pattern, however, this change must occur between the hours of <br />10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. At each visit, the CITY shall check each local <br />intersection controller to ascertain that the controller is maintaining <br />the correct time. If the time check is negative, the CITY shall enter <br />the correct time in the controller. Additionally, for each system <br />timing pattern checked at the visit, the CITY will check that the local <br />intersection controller is receiving the transfer command from the <br />master control unit and is responding to that command.
