REGULAR MEETING September 28, 2015

Councilmember Henry Davis Jr. - I don’t have a problem with using this tax abatement to attract
companies. My problem is not with you Sir. The City Department in the narrative of bringing in
two-hundred (200) jobs, when in fact you are only bringing in sixty (60) plus jobs that are going
to be available. The report reads two-hundred (200) jobs. That’s a bit different than sixty-eight
(68) to sixty-nine (69) jobs. I want to for the record have a better understanding of how many
jobs there are going to be available once this is complete. You have my full support.

Presenter- These are jobs they project out over the life of the abatement. It’s not a singular look
it’s a long term look.

Councilmember Henry Davis Jr. - I am aware of that and I have a problem with the way we do
abatements as well Sir.
