z 6 8. <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 12, 1986 <br />Traffic Division have reviewed this request and recommend <br />approval. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded <br />by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was accepted <br />and the request approved. <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the <br />above referred to request submitted to the Board on July 22, 1986 <br />and recommend approval. It was noted, however, that as <br />Potawatomi Park will be utilized for registration for this event, <br />the sponsor must also secure permission from the Board of Park <br />Commissioners. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, <br />seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the request was approved <br />and the Clerk instructed to advise the sponsor to secure <br />permission from the Board of Park Commissioners to utilize the <br />Park for registration purposes. <br />UEST OF SOT <br />S <br />AIRSHOW 1� <br />-17. 1986 <br />FOR TRAFFIC AND ( <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the <br />above referred to request submitted to the Board on March 18, <br />1986 and recommend approval. Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, <br />seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was <br />accepted and the request approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF MEMORIAL HOSPITAL FOR TRAFFIC ASSISTANCE IN <br />CONJUNCTION WITH DEDICATION CEREMONIES - SEPTEMBER 5. 1986 <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Chet Kolber, Director, Security and <br />Safety, Memorial Hospital, 615 North Michigan Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, advised that dedication of the hospital's new addition <br />will take place on Friday, September 5, 1986. He stated that the <br />hospital is expecting heavier than normal automobile traffic at <br />Bartlett and Michigan Streets and therefore assistance from the <br />South Bend Police Department to assist with left turns is <br />requested. Mr. Kolber stated that it is anticipated that <br />assistance will be required for one and one-half (1 1/2) hours <br />from 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic <br />Division have reviewed this request and recommend approval. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. <br />Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the <br />request approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF A.M.E. ZION CHURCH TO CLOSE CAMPEAU STREET <br />BETWEEN EDDY AND FRANCIS FOR CHURCH SPONSORED BLOCK PARTY AND <br />REQUEST TO CONDUCT CHOIR PRESENTATION ON PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY - <br />AUGUST 24. 1986 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the <br />above referred to request submitted to the Board on August 5, <br />1986, and recommend approval. Therefore, upon a motion made by <br />Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the <br />recommendation was accepted and the request approved. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, the following three (3) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1 <br />
