Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to the Board on July 22, 1986 and recommend approval. It was noted, however, that as Potawatomi Park will be utilized for registration for this event, the sponsor must also secure permission from the Board of Park Commissioners. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the request was approved and the Clerk instructed to advise the sponsor to secure permission from the Board of Park Commissioners to utilize the Park for registration purposes. UEST OF SOT S AIRSHOW 1� -17. 1986 FOR TRAFFIC AND ( Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to the Board on March 18, 1986 and recommend approval. Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved. APPROVE REQUEST OF MEMORIAL HOSPITAL FOR TRAFFIC ASSISTANCE IN CONJUNCTION WITH DEDICATION CEREMONIES - SEPTEMBER 5. 1986 In a letter to the Board, Mr. Chet Kolber, Director, Security and Safety, Memorial Hospital, 615 North Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana, advised that dedication of the hospital's new addition will take place on Friday, September 5, 1986. He stated that the hospital is expecting heavier than normal automobile traffic at Bartlett and Michigan Streets and therefore assistance from the South Bend Police Department to assist with left turns is requested. Mr. Kolber stated that it is anticipated that assistance will be required for one and one-half (1 1/2) hours from 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed this request and recommend approval. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved. APPROVE REQUEST OF A.M.E. ZION CHURCH TO CLOSE CAMPEAU STREET BETWEEN EDDY AND FRANCIS FOR CHURCH SPONSORED BLOCK PARTY AND REQUEST TO CONDUCT CHOIR PRESENTATION ON PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY - AUGUST 24. 1986 Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to the Board on August 5, 1986, and recommend approval. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the following three (3) traffic control devices were approved: 1
