Victoria DATES: August 24, 1986 TIMES: 12:00 noon until 10:00 p.m. APPROVE BLOCK PARTY REQUESTS Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the following block party requests submitted to the Board on August 5, 1986 and recommend approval: NAME: Terry Dickerson ADDRESS: 1321 Wall Street LOCATION: Wall Street from Twyckenham to Sunnyside DATES: August 23, 1986 TIMES: 2:00 p.m. - 12:00 midnight NAME: Mr. & Mrs. James Allison ADDRESS: 905 East Victoria LOCATION: 800 & 900 blocks of East Victoria DATE: September 6, 1986 TIMES: 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Additionally, Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the following block party request and recommend approval: NAME: Vilma Aurand ADDRESS: 1308 Manchester Drive LOCATION: Manchester from Edison to Rexford DATE: August 23, 1986 TIMES: 7:00 p.m. - 12:00 midnight It was noted that the Petitioners will be advised that a ten foot (10') clear and unobstructed lane at either curb or down the center of the street must be maintained for emergency purposes. Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the requests approved. APPROVE REQUEST OF CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO PROVIDE POLICE ESCORT AUGUST 29, 1986 In a letter to the Board, Ms. Rebecca Bonham, Vice President, Convention & Tourism Division, South Bend/Mishawaka Area Chamber of Commerce, Commerce Center, Suite 310, 401 East Colfax Avenue, P.O. Box 1677, South Bend, Indiana, requested a police escort with red light and siren as arranged for preliminarily with the traffic \commander for the Buffalo Bills football team. The escort service would be from the Michiana Regional Airport to the Marriott Hotel. The expected time of arrival at the airport is at present not known but will be on Friday, August 29, 1986. She stated that it is felt that this exhibition game, which will benefit the 1987 International Summer Special Olympics Games, is a great event for our community.
