REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 12, 1986 9 1 l 1 1. NEW INSTALLATION, 2-HOUR PARKING, 6A/6P - 200-300 S. Michigan. 2. REMOVAL OF STOP SIGN, 2-WAY, REVISED TO STOP SIGN, 4-WAY - Angela & Woodward, Temporary 4-Way Stop. Effective August 8, 1986. Traffic Signals on all Red Flash. (Repairs to Portage Avenue Bridge). 3. REMOVAL OF 1-WAY EASTBOUND, REVISED TO 2-WAY - South Street between Williams and Lafayette. FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a total of one hundred fifty-four (154) properties cleaned from August 1, 1986 to August 7, 1986, was submitted. Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the report as submitted was filed. FILING OF NEW TAXICAB RATES - ALLIED CAB COMPANY In a letter to the Board, Mr. Walter E. Jones, Owner, Allied Cab Company, 1608 North Sheridan Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, advised that effective August 15, 1986, Allied Cab Company meter rates will be as follows: $ 2.00 Flag Drop $ 1.00 Per mile $12.00 Per hour waiting time It was noted that pursuant to Municipal Code taxicab licensing requirements, Mr. Jones submitted proofs of Notice of Publication in two (2) local newspapers advising the public of the rate increase. Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the rates as submitted were accepted and filed. FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the Certificate of Insurance for The Robert Henry Corporation, P.O. Box 1407, South Bend, Indiana, was accepted and filed. APPROVE CLAIMS Mr. John W. Ferguson, Executive Director, St. Joseph County Job Training Program submitted two (2) lists containing sixty-seven (67) claims and recommended approval. Additionally, Deputy City Controller Carol M. Sanders submitted Claim Docket No. 017901 through Claim Docket No. 018407 and recommended approval. Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the claims were approved and the reports as submitted were filed. CITIZEN QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS REGARDING NEW ASPHALT ROAD IN SUMMERS SQUARE ADDITION Mr. Joseph Guentert, 3510 Corby Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, advised the Board that a new blacktop access street off of Ironwood Road, in the condominium development known as Summers Square, has been torn up by trucks and he wondered if the street met City standards when it was blacktopped. Mr. Leszczynski advised Mr. Guentert that if the street in question is a public street it will not be accepted by the City until it meets City standards and stated that typically asphalt paving is the final step in the completion of a project. He further stated that if the developer tore up the street, the developer will have to repair it.
