Box <br />4324, South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to conduct a <br />Moral March on Tuesday, August 12, 1986, beginning at 5:00 p.m. <br />utilizing the following route: <br />Begin at LaSalle Park east on Washington Avenue to Kaley; <br />left on Kaley across the Conrail tracks to Orange -Colfax; <br />east on Orange -Colfax to Olive; north on Olive to Linden <br />Avenue; east on Linden Avenue to Walnut; south on Walnut to <br />Thomas Street; Thomas Street east to Chapin; south on Chapin <br />to Western Avenue; across Western Avenue to Chapin and return <br />north on Chapin to Washington Avenue to Walnut; where the <br />March will end at Washington Avenue and Walnut. <br />Mr. Nabaa stated that it is anticipated that fifty (50) to <br />seventy-five (75) individuals will participate and they will <br />utilize the sidewalk and obey all traffic signals. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, the above request was approved. <br />ST OF FIRST A.M.E. Christy, Block Party <br />Committee, First A.M.E. Zion Church, 801 North Eddy Street, South <br />Bend, Indiana, requested permission to close Campeau Street <br />between Eddy and Francis Street for a block party that the church <br />would like to sponsor on Sunday, August 24, 1986, from 12:00 noon <br />until 9:00 p.m. Additionally, Mr. Christy requested permission <br />to use the grassy median strip on Campeau Street between Eddy and <br />Francis Streets for a choir presentation on August 24, 1986, <br />between 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above <br />requests were referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and <br />the Police Department Traffic Division for review and <br />recommendation. <br />PRO HEALTH TO CONDUCT 6TH ANNUAL SPORTSMED 10K ROAD <br />RACE, 1 MILE FUN RUN AND 4K WALK - OCTOBER 5, 1986 - REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Co -Race Directors Ron Craker and Carter <br />Wolf and Administrative Director Mark Neff of Pro Health of St. <br />Joseph's Medical Center, 320 South St. Joseph Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, requested permission to conduct the 6th Annual Sportsmed <br />10K Road Race, 1 Mile Fun Run and and 4K (2.5 mile) Walk on <br />Sunday, October 5, 1986. <br />It was noted that the 10K would be begin at 2:00 p.m., with the <br />Fun Run and the 4K Walk beginning at 2:05 p.m. Submitted with <br />the request were routes to be utilized for each event as follows: <br />10K Course Description <br />Start - at triangle formed by merging of Wayne and Western <br />into Jefferson Blvd. <br />East on Jefferson to Notre Dame Ave. <br />South on Notre Dame to North Side Blvd. <br />East on North Side Blvd. to 26th Street <br />South on 26th to North Side Blvd. <br />East on North Side Blvd. to 35th Street <br />North on 35th Street to Pleasant Street <br />West on Pleasant Street <br />West on North Side Blvd. to St. Louis Blvd. <br />North on St. Louis Blvd. to Finish Line between Wayne <br />Street and Jefferson <br />1 <br />1 <br />
