REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 5, 1986 ', � 9 1 1 1 Mile Fun Run Course Description Same start as the 10K East on Jefferson to Notre Dame Ave. South on Notre Dame to North Side Blvd. West on North Side Blvd. to St. Louis Blvd. North on St. Louis Blvd. to same Finish Line as the 10K. 4K Fitness Walk Course Description Same start as the 10K. East on Jefferson Blvd. to Notre Dame Ave. North on Notre Dame Ave. to Madison Ave. West on Madison to East Race Walk Way. South on the East Race crossing under automobile traffic until entering Howard Park. South on Howard Park sidewalk by river to the Footbridge. West across the footbridge to walking path. North on walking path to Jefferson Blvd. East on Jefferson Blvd. (requiring walkers to use sidewalk) to Howard Park. South into Howard Park, finishing in the middle of the park. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for review and recommendation. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the above referred to request submitted to the Board on July 22, 1986, and recommend approval. It was noted that participants must remain on the sidewalks during the solicitation. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request approved. APPROVE AND/OR RELEASE CONTRACTORS BONDS Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the Contractor's Bond for Leon Townsend d/b/a Townsend Construction be approved retroactive to July 28, 1986. Additionally, Mr. Humphrey recommended that the Contractor's Bond for Joseph Plaia d/b/a Plaia Construction be released effective August 5, 1986. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the bond of Townsend Construction was approved and the bond of Plaia Construction was released. FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a total of one hundred twenty-one (121) properties cleaned from July 25, 1986 to July 31, 1986, was submitted. Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the report as submitted was filed. APPROVE CLAIMS Deputy City Controller Carol M. Sanders submitted Claim Docket No. 017418 through Claim Docket No. 017900 and recommended approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the claims were approved and the report filed.
