REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 5, 1986 <br />', � 9 <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 Mile Fun Run Course Description <br />Same start as the 10K <br />East on Jefferson to Notre Dame Ave. <br />South on Notre Dame to North Side Blvd. <br />West on North Side Blvd. to St. Louis Blvd. <br />North on St. Louis Blvd. to same Finish Line as the 10K. <br />4K Fitness Walk Course Description <br />Same start as the 10K. East on Jefferson Blvd. to Notre <br />Dame Ave. North on Notre Dame Ave. to Madison Ave. West <br />on Madison to East Race Walk Way. South on the East Race <br />crossing under automobile traffic until entering Howard <br />Park. South on Howard Park sidewalk by river to the <br />Footbridge. West across the footbridge to walking path. <br />North on walking path to Jefferson Blvd. East on Jefferson <br />Blvd. (requiring walkers to use sidewalk) to Howard Park. <br />South into Howard Park, finishing in the middle of the park. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division <br />for review and recommendation. <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />and the Police Department Traffic Division have reviewed the <br />above referred to request submitted to the Board on July 22, <br />1986, and recommend approval. It was noted that participants <br />must remain on the sidewalks during the solicitation. Therefore, <br />upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the request <br />approved. <br />APPROVE AND/OR RELEASE CONTRACTORS BONDS <br />Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the <br />Contractor's Bond for Leon Townsend d/b/a Townsend Construction <br />be approved retroactive to July 28, 1986. Additionally, Mr. <br />Humphrey recommended that the Contractor's Bond for Joseph Plaia <br />d/b/a Plaia Construction be released effective August 5, 1986. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the bond of Townsend Construction was approved and the <br />bond of Plaia Construction was released. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of one hundred twenty-one (121) properties cleaned from <br />July 25, 1986 to July 31, 1986, was submitted. Upon a motion <br />made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the <br />report as submitted was filed. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Deputy City Controller Carol M. Sanders submitted Claim Docket <br />No. 017418 through Claim Docket No. 017900 and recommended <br />approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Ms. <br />Barnard and carried, the claims were approved and the report <br />filed. <br />
