<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Tina Coleman, 2022 %2 Miami Street, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to
<br />block party, on Friday, September 1, 1995, from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., on Donald Street from
<br />Miami Street, to the first alley east of Miami. Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by
<br />Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Melissa DeClercq, 130 North Hawthorne Drive, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above
<br />referred to block party, on Saturday, August 19, 1995, from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., on
<br />Hawthorne Drive from Colfax to Washington Streets. Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier,
<br />seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT NEIGHBORHOOD WALK AND
<br />PICNIC
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Carla Spradlin, Planner, Community and Economic Development, on behalf of the Near
<br />Westside Neighborhood Partnership Center to conduct the above referred to block party on Saturday,
<br />July 8, 1995, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., on North Johnson Street, from Bertrand to Kenwood
<br />Streets. Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr Leszczynski and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT PARISH FESTIVAL - OUR LADY OF
<br />HUNGARY CHURCH
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Code Enforcement, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to
<br />a request as submitted by Mr. Richard Gratzol, Festival Coordinator, Our Lady of Hungary Church,
<br />829 West Calvert Street, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to Parish Festival, on
<br />Saturday, July 15, 1995, from 3:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m., on South Chapin Street between West
<br />Calvert and Bruce Streets. Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and
<br />carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVE REOUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - ONE (I)TWO TON
<br />VIBRATORY ROLLER
<br />Mr. Matthew Chlebowski, Director, Division of Equipment Services, requested permission to
<br />advertise for the receipt of bids for a two (2) ton vibratory roller, to be used by the City Street
<br />Department. Mrs. Manier made a motion that the request be approved. Mr. Leszczynski seconded
<br />the motion which carried.
<br />APPROVE REOUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - ONE (1) ALLEY
<br />MAINTAINER
<br />Mr. Matthew Chlebowski, Director, Division of Equipment Services, requested permission to
<br />advertise for the receipt of bids for one (1) alley maintainer for use by the City Street Department.
<br />Mrs. Manier made a motion that the request be approved. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion
<br />which carried.
<br />APPROVE REOUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - CONCRETE
<br />IMPROVEMENTS
<br />Mr. John Leszczynski, Director, Department of Public Works, requested permission to advertise for
<br />the receipt of bids for concrete improvements in the City of South Bend. Upon a motion made by
<br />Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the request was approved.
