<br />Manier and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed.
<br />APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CONTRACTS
<br />The following Community Development Contracts were presented to the Board for approval:
<br />Neighborhood Housing Services $100,000 Housing acquisition and rehab
<br />Neighborhood Housing Services $ 60,000 Curbs and sidewalks
<br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the above referred
<br />to Contracts were approved and executed.
<br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER - STUDEBAKER GOLF COURSE IRRIGATION SYSTEM -
<br />PROJECT NO. 95-14
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that, has submitted Change Order No. 1 on behalf of Wissco Irrigation,
<br />1820 South Bend, Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, indicating that the Contract amount be increased
<br />$6,450.04 for a new Contract sum including this Change Order in the amount of $194,925.04. Upon
<br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Change Order was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 (FINAL) AND PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT -
<br />1995 CONCRETE IMPROVEMENTS - PROJECT NO. 95-01
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Bob Allen, Public Construction Manager has submitted Change
<br />Order No. 1 (Final) on behalf of LaPorte Construction, Post Office Box 577, LaPorte, Indiana,
<br />indicating that the contract amount be increased by $3,780.91 for a new contract sum including this
<br />Change Order in the amount of $96,772.95. Additionally submitted was the Project Completion
<br />Affidavit indicating this new final cost. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs.
<br />Manier and carried, Change Order No. 1 (Final) and the Project Completion Affidavit were approved
<br />subject to the filing of the appropriate three-year Maintenance Bond.
<br />APPROVE PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT - CENTURY CENTER REMODELING -
<br />PROJECT NO. 94-83
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Bob Allen, Public Construction Manager, has submitted the
<br />Project Completion Affidavit on behalf of Reinke Construction, 1216 West Sample Street, South
<br />Bend, Indiana, for the above referred to project, indicating a final cost of $2,389,225.55. Upon a
<br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Project Completion
<br />Affidavit was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - ROBERTSON'S
<br />BUILDING RENOVATIONS - PROJECT NO. 96-48
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested
<br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated
<br />that this project will make some renovations to the Robertson's Building prior to transferring
<br />ownership to others for development of the building as residential apartment units. A total of
<br />$350,000 has been appropriated from Economic Development Income Tax revenues for the work.
<br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the
<br />request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF LICENSE APPLICATION FOR GARBAGE AND RUBBISH REMOVAL
<br />SERVICE - V&J REMOVAL
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of a favorable recommendation from the
<br />Department of Code Enforcement for a License Application for a Garbage and Rubbish Removal
<br />Service, as submitted by Ms. Kay Griesinger, V&J Removal, 1804 Lincolnway East, Mishawaka,
<br />Indiana. Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Bureau of Sanitation has inspected the vehicles to be used
<br />in conjunction with the service, and has approved them. Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier,
<br />seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the License Application was approved.
