REGULAR 1VIEETING SEPTEMBER 28, 1999 APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA - ALL NIGHTER Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering and the City Attorney's office, however Capt. Larry Blume, South Bend Police Department, denied the request due to manpower restraints, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Andrew Dickey, Boy Scouts of America, 1433 Northside Blvd., South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to event, on October 22, 1999, on the designated route as submitted. Therefore, Ms. Roemer made a motion that the request be tabled for further information. Mr. Powell seconded the motion which carried. REQUEST FOR. A PERMIT ALLOWING TEMPORARY OCCUPANCY OF PUBLIC PROPERTY - REINKE CONSTRUCTION Mr. Caldwell stated that to board is in receipt of an application for a permit allowing temporary occupancy of public property for longer than thirty (30) days. The duration of occupancy is from September 28, 1999 to December 28, 4999. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the request be tabled. Mr. Powell seconded the motion which carried. RELEASE CONTRACTOR BOND Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following Contractors Bond be released effective April 20, 2000 as follows: BOND OF CONTRACTOR The Robert Henry Corporation Post Office Box 1407 South Bend, Indiana 46624 Mr. Caldwell made a. motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bonds be released as outlined above. Ms. Roemer seconded the motion which carried. CONTRACTOR BOND Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following Contractors Bonds be approved as follows: BOND OF CONTRACTOR B & B Equipment, Inc. 5750 West Brick Road South Bend, Indiana 46624 BOND OF CONTRACTOR Mr. Kenneth Washington 24800 Fillmore Road South Bend, Indiana 46619 BOND OF CONTRACTOR Mr. Bruce Shoup 927 Clover Street South Bend, Indiana 46615 Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bonds be approved as outlined above. Ms. Roemer seconded the motion which carried. REQUEST FOR A PERMIT ALLOWING TEMPORARY OCCUPANCY OF PUBLIC PROPERTY - VERKLER INC Mr. Caldwell stated that to board is in receipt of an application for a permit allowing temporary occupancy of public property for longer than thirty (30) days. The duration of occupancy is from September 28, 1999 to February 15, 2000. Therefore, Ms. Roemer made a motion that the request be approved. Mr. Powell seconded the motion which carried. 1 I.-
