Bussell, Clerk <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - SIX (6) 2000 <br />MODEL FULL SIZE, FRONT WHEEL DRIVE POLICE PATROL VEHICLES <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Matthew Chlebowski, Central Services Division, requested <br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to vehicles. Funding will be <br />provided by the Police Departments Capital Budget Fund. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. <br />Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell, and carried the request to advertise was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - EAST LASALLE FROM <br />TWYCKENHAM TO ESTHER - BLOCK PARTY <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of <br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted <br />by Ms. Kristine Darden, 1501 East LaSalle Avenue, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above <br />referred to block party, on October 3, 1999, on the designated route as submitted. Therefore, Ms. <br />Roemer made a motion that the request be approved. Mr. Powell seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREETS - HOMECOMING PARADE <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of <br />Engineering, Parks Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a <br />request as submitted by Cpl. David Newton, John Adams High School to conduct the above referred <br />to homecoming day parade, on October 1, 1999, on the designated route as submitted. Therefore, <br />Ms. Roemer made a motion that the request be approved. Mr. Powell seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREETS - TO CONDUCT A MARCH <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of <br />Engineering, Parks Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a <br />request as submitted by Ms. Gladys Muhammad, United Community Against Alcohol and Drug <br />Abuse, 914 Lincoln Way West, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to march, on <br />October 29, 1999, on the designated route as submitted. Therefore, Ms. Roemer made a motion that <br />the request be approved. Mr. Powell seconded the motion which carried. <br />
