That the Board of Public Works approves and recommends the Common Council's adoption and enactment of its ordinance extending and providing water and sewer services in the area described more particularly in section I of this Resolution and further providing for the allocation for payment of the costs of such construction between the City and residents affected by the water and sewer main extension project. Jacob, Clerk APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO SOLICIT PROPOSALS FOR THE COLLECTION OF PAST DUE AMBULANCE ACCOUNTS - SOUTH BEND FIRE DEPARTMENT In a letter to the Board, Fire Chief Luther Taylor requested permission to solicit proposals for the collection of past due ambulance accounts. Funding is provided by Emergency Medical Services. Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the request was approved. APPROVAL OF GRANT OF EASEMENT - REASOR STREET SANITARY SEWER Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, a Grant of Easement for 423 Reasor Street was approved, in conjunction with the Reasor Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement project. APPROVE AND/OR RELEASE CONTRACTOR BONDS Mr. Anthony Molnar, Engineer, Division ofEngineering, recommended that the following Contractor Bonds be approved and/or released as follows: BOND OF CONTRACTOR Dustin Verhaeghe d/b/a/ Verhaeghe Concrete Released Effective December 29, 1999 V&B Concrete Approved Effective Retroactive to May 4, 2000 Mr. Littrell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bonds be approved and/or released as outlined above. Ms. Roemer seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO REMONSTRATE Ms. Roemer stated that the Board is in receipt of a Consent to Annexation and Waiver of Right to Remonstrate as submitted by James A. Basney. The Consent indicates that in consideration for permission to tap into the public sanitary sewer system of the City, to provide sanitary sewer service to 52203 SR 933, South Bend, Indiana, (Key # 02-1093-4461-02), Mr. Basney waives and releases any and all rights to remonstrate against or oppose any pending or future annexation of the property by the City of South Bend. Therefore, Ms. Roemer made a motion that the Consent be approved. Mr. Littrell seconded the motion which carried.
